Okay, here's task 4 for OC-training ! I'm so friggin late, I'm so sorry DX I didn't realize I was going to be out of town without my laptop for so long (bad planning on my part lol)

Anyway! Eliot's wardrobe is actually pretty big, since she likes to keep up with trends and tries to look nice wherever she goes. She keeps up with Merke fashion, but throws in elements from her home country's fashion sense as well. At work, though, she just throws on whatever since she has to wear a lab coat anyway lol.

1. Work: Officer Wear- Whenever Eliot is working, in the lab or out, she usually has a lab coat on just in case. The coats are extendable in the sleeves and the length of the torso, and they come one-size-fits-all. Underneath, El just throws on a simple shirt and comfortable leggings, and the boots are also work-issued and aren't allowed to be worn outside the labs and the lab offices. Whenever Eliot is anywhere at work that lets you have food or drink, she's never seen without a full mug of coffee at all times.

2. Work: Basic Labwear- When in the lab regardless of what you're doing at the time, eye protection and gloves are required. El's lab has several varieties of gloves that are color-coded based on how corrosive/acidic/hot the stuff is that you're working with. The lab coats are heat resistant and woven with nomex and other chemical-resistant fibers and treated to still be cool and comfortable. (not that the Melek workers cared about that, but the human scientists complained until they got better coats)

3. Work: Clean Room Wear- There are different areas of Eliot's lab that require more protection- Clean rooms especially require each worker be decontaminated and given different boots and coats to wear inside. For the less dangerous parts of the clean rooms, the ruff of the labcoats can be pulled up and tightened around the face and act as a pretty decent HEPA filter. Of course, a lot of human scientists also prefer to wear full facemasks and heavier aprons but Eliot usually can't be bothered... She's pretty lazy when it comes to extra safety precautions.

4. Savun Civillian Dress Uniform- Since Eliot is a civilian, she doesn't have a military uniform to wear to fancy military functions. However, the Savun do provide their civilian workers with their choice in black tie attire that matches the military uniforms. The Savun's colors are gold, maroon and green, and gold accessories are a sign of status. Eliot hates this uniform almost as much as she hates being forced to mingle with Merke's politicians and high ranked military personel, and most people in the Savun know to leave her to brood in the corner during these functions. (there's supposed to be parrtens on the drape-y parts but I haven't come up with them yet)

5. Formal Wear- Eliot does, however, love to dress nice and go to civilian black tie affairs. She's often allowed to go to technology galas run by various universities and tech companies. Most people outside of the R&D side of the military have no idea who she is as far as her work with the Savun. She is widely known as a somewhat mysterious, highly published researcher so everyone likes to rub elbows with her at these gatherings and she loves the attention. Her favorite dress, featured here, is a blend of Merke and her home country's fashion. She made the design on the dress, and the stars twinkle in real-time like the actual stars in the sky. Because she's a huge nerd, it's actually an accurate star map.

6. Workout Clothes- When El can be bothered to exercise, she usually goes for the punching bag and does some light cardio-kickboxing type stuff. Generally, in Merke even workout shoes are open-toed functional sandals, but Eliot has never gotten used to them and opts for regular trainers.

7. Sleepwear- Eliot sleeps in as little as possible, but with as many blankets as possible. A baggy sports t-shirt is as much clothing as she's willing to put on most of the time, and she is not a morning person and won't bother to put on pants if you wake her up. Her favorite sport is called Ghostball (thanks LanokirX for letting me borrow his sport for my story!) and her favorite team is the Dragons.

8. Civilian Clothes 1- Fashion in Merke includes a lot of flowy, drapey off-the-shoulder and asymmetrical designs for the tops, and light, comfortable leggings for the bottoms. Due to the mostly humid and hot weather, skirts and dresses aren't common without leggings underneath because no one likes their sweaty bare thighs rubbing together, and the most common material for leggings in Merke is sweat-wicking and cooling and way nicer in the weather than bare legs. Favored colors are generally pretty mellow, natural earth tones and lots of tans and greys. (and if it wasn't glaringly obvious, Eliot's favorite color is blue). Open-toed shoes are favored in Merke (again, because of the weather- smelly feet are actually considered very impolite), most designed to be just as functional as running shoes.

9. Civilian Clothes 2- In the winter Merke does get a little chilly, and it's generally the only time people are seen wearing boots.

10. Bonus! Eliot in a modern AU! At this age she's much happier than she is in Ghosttowns, has more tattoos, and is generally a lot more pleasant to be around. She's a research scientist that uses her family wealth to start an institute for researching rare diseases and cancers.
