The main meta heroes I have for Merc-Wit-da-Mouth 's superhero universe (all familiar faces of course haha)... of course there's more, and maybe one day if I make my own hero 'verse they'll be in that too~ (also I'm open to suggestions on the costumes... Jo and Layla are set but I'm not all the way satisfied with Shawna's)

Scott Kings/Prism: A detective and friendly kind of guy, Scott has had powers since he was born due to genetic experiments his mom, San Kings, did on herself in her research on genetic diseases. Scott inherited some mutations that grant him the ability to manipulate light. He grew up idolizing the old-school supers and eventually became Prism and joined a hero league as soon as he could. Scott models his work and look as Prism after the classic metas

Shawna Kings/Flintlock: The city's superior court judge, a former lawyer with a stellar reputation. Shawna, like her brother, has had powers since she was born. Shawna's mutations revolve around her eyes- she has incredible vision and can cycle her 'sight' to infrared, x-ray, telescopic, and EM. She's been slowly unlocking different wavelengths she can see. Shawna was formerly a sniper and military meta with the US Marines with Jo and retired when Jo did. Her codname was Flintlock and she owns and utilizes four specialty guns made to work with her powers. She doesn't often take up the Flintlock mantle anymore, but still works with the government on sensitive missions.

Yolotli Thakur/Obsidian: A first-generation American and a huge believer in justice, Yolotli is a high ranking police officer by day and Obsidian by night, catching crooks red tape kept her from during her day job. Her powers come from a family talisman holding the spirit of an Aztec sorcerer, an Avatar of the god Tepeyollotl. The talisman grants Yolotli the god's powers over sound and gives her several sonic-based abilities, as well as super strength, speed, and senses. Yolotli generally works alone and is a 'nighttime vigilante' type hero. Though currently estranged from her family in Mexico, they do wish her to come back and bring her protection and powers as Obsidian with her back to their rightful home.

Layla Vital/Scarlet Wind: A world-famous dancer and hero, Layla's identity as Scarlet Wind is widely known. She's one of the faces of public metas and they couldn't ask for a more charismatic and likeable spokesperson- as long as you ignore her rather promiscuous and 'scandalous' personal life. Layla developed her powers- wind manipulation- when she was a teenager and originally fought petty crime as Cardinal until a bad injury took her out of the game for a while. Now, with a new and improved supersuit to protect her, Scarlet Wind is one of the best-known metas.

Jo Mori/Sunset: A current tattoo shop owner/artist, Jo is from a very long-lived line of shapeshifters dating back far before Europe made it to the Americas. She was born in 1921 on a reservation set aside for Jo's people for their services to the government (a group of Coastal Miwoks). She grew up with her ancestral powers- the ability to shapeshift into a 'werewolf', as well as superhuman senses, strength, a healing factor, and longevity. Her abilities got her access to fight in WWII, and ever since then she served in the Marine Corps. THough she started out posing as a man, she entered a contract with the military after the war that protected her and her family's identity in exchange for her service. She also agreed to undergo experimental surgery, weaving metal mesh and metal grafts into her muscles and bones, making her even more durable. Jo goes on to head one of the first military Meta teams, and serves until losing her arm and other injuries at the hand of another Meta in Afghanistan. She now runs her shop and moonlights in hero-ing with a new costume and her old moniker, Sunset. Her identity is mostly private, but people can figure out who she is pretty easily.
