Life and death... the balance between them. Quite a fascinating topic, really...This is the main baddie from my AU. What, you thought the shadows were it?? No no no!
He's.... well he's an indescribably horrible person, but he also has some pretty legit motivation behind it all. But yeah, he does some pretty nasty stuff! (yeah, some of you know a little about what he does
)His name is unknown, but calls himself Shunken... His zanpakuto, Aosaginohi is behind him. I will literally give the first person to guess its powers a free sketch commission, because they're pretty damn intense.

Jo: Fuck...you... *gasping for air, her right leg is frozen below the knee and she's been stabbed in the shoulder, thigh, and twice in the chest, a bone-handled knife still sticking out below her collarbone. A large chunk of flesh is missing from her ribcage, the fake ones peeking through the blood*
Shunken: *his shirt has been torn off, and numerous gashes and burns that he hasn't had time to heal score his torso. He is breathing heavily as well, and there is a crack in his mask* This... is more fun when you're not already torn open... *laughs harshly*

Rei: *presses arm against Eliot and holds her against a wall, out of.their sight* We need to help her, but he can freeze us⦠we have to be careful

Eliot: *shakes, her face cold* I'm a kido master, Rei, he won't touch me.
Shunken: *rushes her, and swings lightly, and instead of of blocking Jo barley dodges, swinging for his neck and connects, blade sticks in. But allows him to grab her stump, causing the scar tissue at the end to dissolve and blood to come pouring out, Jo screeches and drags her blade across his neck, causing them both to reel backward, Jo swaying dangerously, blood everywhere*

Rei: Alright, fuck it. *runs in and tackles Shunken, throwing strong punches*

Shunken: *laughs as he falls* Oh, not so smart after all?? *grabs her face and pushes the memory of Jo's torture in its entirety, starting from when he forced her awake and pulled out her stomach to inspect*
(By the way... I'm designing a new OC... and I thought she and Rei would look cute together HAHA IDK I'm so tired)

Rei: *whole body goes rigid and shoves away his hand, body shaking and pulls put sword and begins to slice at him*

Shunken: *laughs and blocks her sword easily, and grabs her arm, causing a bunch of the scars to re-open* Now now, I want you whole.
Eliot: *runs to Jo and catches her as she falls* Mi Vida... Stay with me now!
Jo: *hisses and releases her zanpakuto, her arm burning the stump closed* I'm *gasps* Okay... We need to get.. away!

Rei: *cries and falls to hands and knees, already turning a slight pale* You⦠bastard!! *swings sword angrily at him again*

Shunken: *laughs and raises his zanpakuto but is cut off when...
Jo: Flare!! *on fire, collides with Shunken and sends them both reeling back*
Eliot: *gets in front of Rei* Hang on, Nina... *holds out her zanpakuto and releases it, and it becomes a cane she plants into the ground*

Rei: *shallow breathing* I'm okay⦠*shuts eyes and shakes head, steadily walking towards Shunken again*

Eliot: *A root springs up in Rei's path* Stop, Rei, we need to get Jo and get out of here! *another root flies toward Shunken*
Jo: *grabs Shunken's face, burning it* You fuck!! Stay... away...
Shunken: *laughs at the burn* Always so talkative... *Grabs one of her exposed ribs* Oh, I'd like one of these... *starts trying to crack it off violently*

Eliot: *hisses* Idiota! *sends more roots*

Rei: *winces and slams hand to his face, her hand lighting up with an almost electric black* With pain⦠*shoots it off*

You know what'll be glorious?! The day you god damn die!

Shunken: *laughs loudly* Always such surprises!! *grabs her chest and freezes her arms, shoving her off and rolling over on top of her* I do enjoy surprises... *brushes his hand across her lips*
Eliot: *runs to Jo* Wake up, wake up... please...
