EDIT: tweaked a few things that were bugging me... but the more I look the more I see wrong haha

Not surprisingly, Eliot's eyes blinked open and flicked right to the clock: 6:00 am. It was a reflex that she was never able to get away from, even if it had been god knows how long since she had attended Sunday mass. Eliot frowned at the clock; the reason she stopped going was because of who she was, that her god could never accept her, and had for many years spent mass time crying in bed, unable to sleep.

She shifted slightly, and became aware of a muscled, faintly glowing arm wrapped around her; an arm that belonged to her love. Sleeping with Jo was like sleeping with an overly warm octopus- she wrapped herself around Eliot as if she was subconsciously afraid the brunette would float away. Eliot turned slightly and smiled at her bioluminescent wife, who's hair was currently covering her face like a blonde mop.

A wild, uncontrolled feeling of affection welled up in Eliot's chest, and she snuggled backward into the blonde woman, who made her feel comfortable, despite being as soft as a sack of bricks. And safe... and warm. There was no place she would rather be than here, gently pinned to Jo's chest.

She wouldn't trade this feeling for anything in the world. So.

She eyed the silver cross she habitually wore around her neck with a wry expression. To hell with anyone who wanted to take this feeling away from her... away from anyone. She looked back at Jo, a large smile gracing her face.

There'd be no more crying on Sundays.
