Anyway, my girl sent me a letter today and I found this song and found an old picture of us under my bed and then was assaulted by my own feelings haha (and I had to make up for the torture pic
) So I drew this..I've been in a really weird mood for the past few weeks..
Can someone explain to me how you can hate someone for this? Or 'disapprove' of being gay... because, honestly, how can you hate something as beautiful as love? How can you justify that, beyond quoting things from the bible that you probably don't even understand past what you've heard other people say.
Because... I've been lucky enough to experience true love. It's... indescribable. It;s like being invincible... no matter what happens you know the other person will always be there. She's the only one that knows me that well. The only one I can spend every waking moment with and never get tired of her, or annoyed... And even when the hatefulness of society drove us apart, even when it tried to destroy us, we still were in love. Even broken up, we were still there for each other.
I just can't see how people can think that's an abomination, or evil, or whatever. It doesn't make sense. Just stop the hate..

I know, and I'm very lucky and grateful. Not that it hasn't come with a zillion complications, and we're both emotional wrecks right now because of some stuff that went down. But there is someone for everyone. I never had a real, decent relationship before her.

people disapprove of what they don't understand. i've always taken the outlook of love being the highest priority. and i honestly don't think i've ever really hated something, and to be honest... it's a choice. people choose to hate. they may not realize it, but they do. we lock ourselves in cages of our own design, thinking that we know the twists and turns of our own minds, but really we know as much as we show the world, because that's all we want to see. confronting our own ugliness is the hardest step to accepting that we be.
i've never been in love, but i think it must be something like that other person being able to see our ugliness and beyond our ugliness and stripping us bare so that we can see it too. and i can't see how that could ever be wrong. especially if you know the bible more than memorization.

I find that the usual reasons disapprove of anything other than hetero love is either because of the beliefs they were taught and came to believe as they grew, or because they're jealous because they can't find their own love. But love shouldn't be discriminated. People find love and happiness, and whether it's between a man and a woman, two men or two women, or even a polyamorous group.
