Description
This is a piece that tells very much about me. I love show jumping from the bottom of my heart and I also happen to be quite good at it. I regurarly compete on the national level and I'm rather succesful as well. I'm addicted to this sport. Everytime I enter the arena for my turn the feelings above are all the things that go through my mind, but the biggest feeling is that how I shine there with my horse.Everybody's eyes are glued to me and my horse while we do our best on the course. The feeling gets even bigger when there are big competitions. I've actually competed on an arena that was full of people and when I did the fastest course so far everybody bursted into applauds. That is a feeling only somebody who has experienced something similar can know.
This is also something little I wish to show for those who are schocked how quickly I recovered from my shoulder injury. I broke my shoulder into four pieces during a competition this summer, but I recovered quickly and I have already competed succesfully. Competing in show jumping just isn't something I could stop because of something like that.
And to the end I add that this is also a tribute to my two wonderful horses whome have made it possible for me to climb this high.

Congrats on the recovery and competitions (as long ago as that was)
Had no idea horses had their legs light 'armored', although it makes perfect sense. Why is your horses hair blue? Did you color their hair in RL? I'd so do that XP

Thank you
And yeah they've got some protecting gear on their legs, so they wouldn't hurt their legs on the poles and to give some support for the tendons when they come down from the jump. Imagine what kind of stress it is for their legs when an average horse weighs about 600kg and it all lands on those two legs. To make things even worse most of the horses take that all weigh with only one front leg.
The blue hair? I've got no idea. I probably had in minds of making the shines with something new, but it just quite didn't work

This is neat. I sort of know the "indescribable" feeling you mentioned.
This summer, I got hooked after I competed (second competition in my life), in a fairly big demonstration, with several hundred people, at an international (Olympic) show ground/arena. Even if it was a fairly simple, small demo with small jumps, it was insane to feel my horse's hooves thump so loudly on the ground (he was excited, so it was louder than usual, lol), the tons of people calling out you and your horse's names even if they don't know you, the feeling you get when you clear a jump perfectly, or when you get a great time with no faults, etc. You just can't help but grin. It's wonderful.
I think this piece of yours shows that pretty well!

Yes that is exactly the thing. In my case the jumps just are bigger and the courses most likely more difficult I'm really glad that I was able to convey the feeling so well that a fellow horse person could recall what I am after
