The piece I started at AetherCon is done! I tried a new thing here where I printed out the work in progress, scrippled all over it with pencil and used that as texture for the final piece. It was fun doing something just for myself for once.Related content

I love the idea of making her head imitate fresh root systems. It's a wonderful design, and the texture all over is really great. The concentric tree rings are perfectly wood y, and I love the dappling that goes up the spirit's body. There's a lot of fun and subtle color variation there. Thank you for drawing this.

Yeah, I ended up totally redoing the tree after the streams! I noticed my composition sucked so I went back to the drawing board. Shouldn't have skipped out on those composition studies at the beginning
