Lolarious fanart for Poison Study.I'm pretty sure people have been telling me to read Poison Study for years now, but I didn't read it until recently. It's a lovely, fun fantasy series. Although the writing does bother me sometimes, THE CHARACTERS ARE WIN. CASE IN POINT: THESE DORKS. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW.
So, this is Yelena and Valek, walking to the Generals' meeting. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS SCENE ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN THE BOOK, Y'ALL. I laughed for ten minutes straight. And now I laugh every time I think about it. OH MY GOD, YELENA. CONTROL YOUR THOUGHTS, GIRL. XD (Not that I blame her. Mmmm, Valek.) And the best part is that right after this she blurts out how ~stunning he looks, and then he starts smiling like a LOON and stands up straighter and is just generally the most adorable human to ever exist.
These fools just need to go on assassination missions together and make out a lot. CLEARLY. (I should probably get the sequel soon.)

Oh yeah I remember Yelena looking at Valek in full uniform thinking about how she wanted to see how they would look pooled on the floor and then after the brandy meeting when she was drunk and was massaging him and made an attempt to see what she wanted!

I thought the same thing waaay before the banquet. Hipster perv' for Valek? You know I am! Haha. After switching to this from Hunger Games, and initially groaning at another 3rd-person potential 'I'-fest, oh my... were my eyes surprised. This effing scene right here is why I love their tension in the first book; building and building until they held Guy Fawkes day in Brazzel's dungeon. Valek's reaction to her 'stunning' outburst was the funniest, d'aww-worthy thing ever, in the history of everything. Ever. Absolutely adore these two. They will live with me in my mind-dungeon for eternity. Stay off the brandy, 'lena.

I'm so glad to see someone else giving love to this book. I feel like no one even knows what it is....I agree that the writing is weird sometimes, but the plot and characters make up for it in every way possible. VALEK = DELICIOUS
