Hero Stats
Hero Name: Mysteriosa
Quirk: Vanishing Act
+ By completely covering something with a single piece of fabric, Louis is able to make it "disappear" when the fabric is pulled away.
+ Louis is able to freely retrieve items she's disappeared by performing the act in reverse, and has full control over which item is being retrieved.
Limitations:
- Louis' "storage space" amounts to roughly the size of a small storage or janitor's closet. This allows for a decent amount of space to fill, but nothing as intense as a car... Yet! She's working on it.
- If Louis attempts to use her quirk to disappear something that puts her over space limit, everything currently stored away will dump out all at once.
- In order to retrieve items, Louis has to consciously think about them. She's careful to keep track of everything stored, so that she doesn't accidentally hit her limit.
- While Louis can technically disappear people, anyone who's had the displeasure of finding out where everything goes has come back out... Disturbed, vaguely traumatized, and unwilling to explain why. Because of this, she is adamant about never using her quirk on people.
Primary Course Focus: Pro Hero
Support Equipment:
+ Cape: It's made out of a strong, fire resistent, and hard to tear material so that she can reliably use her quirk while fighting.
Personals
Personality:
Really, just calling Louis a trickster would be selling her short. Whether it comes from her roots with the circus or something else, she has one hell of a mischievous streak, and not a care in the world about keeping it under wraps. Though there's never any actual malicious intent behind her antics, she can be a bit bad about remembering to make that fact obvious. Instead, it seems she's chosen to embrace people's unease, often making quips and jests that could be considered a bit on the unsettling or creepy side -- or maybe she's just oblivious to it all! It can be hard to near impossible to get a proper read on her, sometimes.
Mischief aside, Louis is a boisterous, happy personality, who seems to enjoy butting into people's lives under the pretense of friendship. She can bridge into the realm of excessive easily, and often relies on her longtime friend and significant other, Claudia, to reel her in. When left to her own devices, though... She can be a bit much, to put it lightly.

History:
Louis' family, on their mother's side, has always been involved with the circus. When their mom was young, she relocated to England to expand the family trade in her own way. It was in the process of forming her new troupe that she met Louis' father, and of course, had Louis -- born Eloise, but the nickname came and stuck quickly. Growing up surrounded by the performances and fanfare was enjoyable for Louis; they reveled in the boldness of it, and especially in the harmless michief of the clowns. It was fun, and Louis was a fan of seeing the happy faces of the crowd during the troupe's perfromances. For the most part, they were content to grow up in the space and help, with the obvious goal of participating when they were old enough. They were a happy child, with a bright future!
Until their quirk manifested, anyway. It was harmless at first, when they lifted a blanket to grab a toy left underneath it, only to find that the toy wasn't there -- and then when they checked the spot again later, picking the blanket back up, it was! It took some fussing from their parents to figure out exactly how the quirk worked, but given their mom's quirk, it wasn't too terribly hard. Controlling the quirk was another matter entirely. It took some work on Louis' part to control when their quirk would or wouldn't activate, and there was a bit of a... Bump along the way. During early primary school, Louis noticed one of their classmates still napping under a blanket at the end of their recess outside. Not wanting their classmate to get in trouble, Louis attempted to lift the blanket off of the other, only for their quirk to accidentally activate and disappear their classmate. Louis was, of course, a bit freaked out, and the stress of teachers fussing to get the classmate back made it harder for them to reactivate their quirk to do so. They did manage eventually, but their classmate returned with a thousand yard stare, refused to talk, and transferred schools not long after.
Needless to say, it was a bit traumatic! Louis worked extremely hard to perfect the usage of their quirk after that. Unfortunately, they also earned a bit of a reputation for the apparent creepy attributes of their quirk. However, Louis was used to being surrounded by strange things and strange people -- rather than let it get to them, they decided to embrace the image. Might as well have fun with it, right?
Things went about as normally as they could from there as Louis grew up. Come secondary school, they even managed to finally find themselves a close friend in a girl by the name of Claudia. The two hit off quickly, personalities bouncing well off of each other. The progression into 'highschool sweethearts' was about as smooth as it could possibly be. There was a mutual discontentedness with their respective quirks -- but with equal mutual support, at some point, the two made up their minds to do something with their quirks despite the limitations or implications. They could be heroes!
After graduating, the two set about finding internships, and managed to find a hero willing to take them both. Things went smoothly for a while, but at the ripe age of 19, they encountered a villain attack that not even the pro could handle, ending in a call for retreat. While trying to do so, Claudia was injured and immobilized. With how quickly things were happening around them, Claudia insisted that Louis use their quirk on her so that they could escape; Louis, of course, refused harshly, but in the end, it was Claudia who won out. The results were as expected; when Louis was able to activate their quirk to return Claudia, the other was left traumatized and unwilling to talk. After the incident, the two left their internship, taking time to recuperate together.
Through the next 3 years, Louis eventually started interning again, though Claudia never returned to it. Louis was supportive, though, and as was Claudia of Louis' decision to continue with hero work. It's at the end of these three years that Louis brought up the idea of studying abroad -- suggesting Schyuler was a bit bold, but when weren't they? It worked out, anyhow, with Claudia able to apply and enroll in the education department, while Louis stuck to their guns with the pro-hero course.
Extras:
+ Louis is completely monochrome, and the markings at the corners of her mouth are just... Her skin. Natural.
+ She has a bit of a cockney accent, though whether or not she's faking it is completely up in the air. who know?
+ Louis very much refuses to use her quirk on other people. She doesn't know where the hell anything goes, and she doesn't care enough to try and find out... Especially since nobody who's been is willing to talk about it, anyway. You'd have to be an especially evil person to change her mind about using it on you!
