Description Finished It. I am always open to critiques and improvements - the joy of working digitally.

This is a memorial picture of my much beloved gelding Rune. The reference if from my own photograph. Completed in Corel Painter Essentials with a Genius Tablet. I have no clue on the actual time drawing, i would hazard a guess at 20ish hours.

Wooowww... You have to make some speed-paints sometime. Like, do it with your normal details but record it!!! THis is amazing! The only thing I can say is the grass is a bit weird ish. Not sure how to help it though... Sorry, I know comments like that must suck

Amazing! I don't know how you do it!
The horse is absolutely perfect - I'd never have guessed it was drawn The only thing is that the grass looks all clumpy, like it grew in tufts and then got trodden on by an elephant or three. That's not a bad thing, I'm just not sure what effect you were trying to create I could never make it half as good as that, anyway

Thank you so much for the generous comments! Yes I agree about the grass, I was just playing around seeing how things looked lol. I was trying to get a clumpy look, not sure if it worked though lol.

i really thought from the thumbnail it was going to be photography, took me a minute to realize it was a digital piece!

Oh wow! The amount of detail in this is just breathtaking. I just love that tail and how you've done those markings. You have defiantly mastered light and muscle structure. The only thing I can comment on for improvement would probably be the grass. It almost looks like the patches are the same, so maybe add more variety of colors would be my guess to improve it.

Yes, I have to agree with you on the grass. Maybe one day I will get the initiative to go in and add the colors you suggested.

this is absolutely gorgeous....

i only have one issue...and i dunno if this is how the photo looked our what, but the two hooves on the ground look to be exactly parallel to each other...i'm thinking the front one should be placed a little more higher up than the back one...idk, that's just what i see

but other than that..
