Description Kits are available for purchase and the storyline for the character is over www.badpressstudio.com/spatha (if you care about either one) Anyway, I'm finally finished with this one. It's primed and ready for paint, although I'm not sure if I want to paint it because I may want to try to make some resin castes of it and the paint probably won't make it through that process. Anyway, the 411...It's a 17 inch sculpture (1/6 scale) The character is supposed to be around 11ft tall with nearly limitless strength and can make spikes come out of any location of his body...well..maybe there's a few places he'd prefer not to have them come out. I made this guy up around 1993 and I thought I'd bring him to life in the form of a sculpture.

I made the character up in 93. I used to draw him in my own little comic lol. The sculpt was just recently made, but maybe you already knew that and I just misunderstood the statement. Thank you!

OOO ok I know who you're talking about. He's a damn good artist! I can't say he was consciously an influence...Dale Keown and bodybuilder magazines aided me more than anyone/anything during the making of this piece, but it's good to hear I pulled off a similar look to JR jr. This character vividly reminds me of Doomsday... the guy who killed Superman in the 1990's... Very neat!

Thank you! Yeah, you're right! I can see where he looks a bit like Doomsday, but I don't think I knew who he was until quite a while after he had already killed superman. My influence for this character was some sort of combo between Hulk and Wolverine.

wow man, that is great. I tried sculpting the hulk once, not near as good as this. someone dropped him on the floor now he lies in pieces.

I'll probably paint one of the casts..I'd like to put a metallic color (pewter or metallic black) on all the armor and the skin was supposed to be red with the spikes black. Any and everyone is welcome to paint it in photoshop haha..Thanks so much!
