I'm sure I'm not the only person who made this comparison. Cute animals that can undertake a temporary transformation to become more powerful but still change back? Ha! Nice try!Although joking aside, I'm curious to see how the Mega Evolutions play out in battle. Many of the designs look pretty dang cool !
...And on a side note, a Digimon vs. Poke'mon game. I can still dream!

Probably, but I suppose I was more commenting on the Evolution aspect in general. It's just the concept of a creature being able to transform into a more powerful being but still change back, which I figured is what Digivolving is
Other point I suppose is Greymon's a lot easier to draw than Megagreymon. So there's that

I have been told off
they can turn back? never heard that before about the mega evolution. humm, make sense in a way maybe it replaces there ability that active when low on HP that boost there attack power. the one all three starters have.

Well only the Mega Evolution can change back. All the old Pokemon evolutions we know are still there and still permanent. So there can say, only be a Mega Charizard, not a Mega Charmander or Charmeleon.
Unless you mean the Digimon, then yeah, most of their transformations are temporary. They have a baby form, but once they get outta that into rookie form, then Rookie becomes their main lowest form (unless they get like the HELL beat out of them, then they might revert to baby form). Then any past Rookie are just for fighting, then they change back.

From what I've heard, it's a temporary ability they can use, like holding an item during battle and activating it, but it isn't a proper evolution since they change back either after the battle is over or when it wears off.
