A blast from the past this is!

This, dear friends, is Mega Sonic! He's not quite Super Sonic and far from Hyper Sonic, but he's still a force to be reckoned with! This strange form of Sonic was created...oh, about nearly 15-16 years ago amazingly The drawing is new, but the idea is quite old now.

When I was little, when I would go to my grandparents house, they'd let me sit at the table and draw in these colouring and drawing books they bought for the grandkids. With my drawing skill growing as of since the first grade, I was more than eager to draw in these books for just about the entire time we were there each time. I drawed and drawed (mainly of Sonic and his pals), creating little worlds and adventuring stories just from a few drawings on one page. One such drawing I came up with was very interesting. It was of Sonic in a brand new super form made up entirely by myself: Mega Sonic.

I've still got the original drawing that I have hung up on the wall (including all the childish spelling mistakes on it. "An alltament warning to Bad Guys!" *shakes head in shame*). The idea behind Mega Sonic is that, instead of collecting all 7 Emeralds to become Super Sonic, all he needed was 1 ring. With this 1 ring (TO RULE THEM ALL...*cough* sorry ^-^"), he could concintrate all his power from it and have an amazing transformation. He would become this raging rad-red hedgehog with greater speed and power then before. It would not match the power of Super Sonic, but it still provides a big boost to his average speed.

It's just amazing all the ideas I came up with as a kid, some of which I suppose people would think is stupid . Some, however, I quite enjoyed and still enjoy them now.

As homage to that classic idea, I drew with original coloured pencils the updated Mega Sonic as he would look today (including glowing DBZ aura, haha). This is right up there with the NINJA SONIC homage comic cover 2005, based on one of the coolest ideas (at least to me) I had ever had in my youth.....oh god, I'm that old I can say that? O.O" (Darth Vader: NOOOOOOO!)
