Custom particle pack & gun are available from BrickForge.[link]
Custom hose made by me using a section of 4.5v battery pack cable.
I chose to use a CCL b/c I do no own the design of the pack or gun.
I hold no stake in BrickForge sales. This is simply to show my customization only.

i heard that lego wants to do ghostbusters sets but they don't think they will make much money cause there is nothing really going on with ghostbusters. maybe next year they will do sets cause of the new ghostbusters movie

how did you do it? did you solder the hose on?

I heated the cord ends w/ a lighter & stretched them over the extended portions of the parts. The cable is completely removable still. Soldering them would've melted the pieces.

Brickforge did a great job w/ the packs and guns, I bought four of each pack and four of each gun of the black, grey and dark grey sets
