I'm curious as to why you gave Larten orange facial hair, was this drawn before or after the starting of the Larten Crepsley series, because orange isn't his natural hair color XD

It was just the galaxy brush in gimp. :]
I think the colouring is a bit dull and lifeless - luckily I have the lineart fresh still to make the clothes far more detailed, and hopefully colour them again with a background in the future.
Practicing clothes and creases (my biggest downfall) and dynamic shading, and hopefully one day I'll this again properly.

Oh wow! Awesome! XD I barely use that brush because of how messy it looks. But you've managed to use it very well here.
Dynamic colouring takes quite a while to learn and to apply it to your own works. I think you are slowly getting the hang of it. While the proportions look nice, the colouring of the characters does tend to put down that 'overall' purpose of the image if you know what I mean.

I like the galaxy brush, if I attempt to make realistic skin, just because it gives the impressions of pores, or slight depressions in the skin that light reveals, like here: [link]
It's subtle, and sometimes unnoticeable, but when I remove the layer with the galaxy brushing on the skin, it somehow looks much smoother and flatter. xD

Decided to touch things up a bit.
Made Larten's skin paler, and his jacket orange.
On this comp, the jacket, even though it was red, came out magenta, and so by making it slightly orange, I tried to give the false impression it was red. ^_^;;
And Psahw, the way I coloured here was crap. :[
Luckily, I have the clean lineart stowed away to try again if I improve in the future!
