Description
Now we all know Mario and Sonic (AKA, the kings of the 90s) but here is a run down of the others added here:Baby Mario: (First appearance, Yoshi's Island, 1995). The infant version of Mario who first appeared in Yoshi's Island and appears later on, such as Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart Double Dash, Wii and of course 8 (And deluxe) and "Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time". He is kinda popular in the whole "Clone" Mario thing.
Classic Sonic (First appearance: Well...since he is the same Sonic as the one we love. Sonic The Hedgehog, 1991, but he didn't appear as a seperated character until 2011 in Sonic Generations. So It's up to you). The most beloved version of Sonic for alot of reasons, he is the mute, version of Sonic and he is basically Sonic from the first, CD, second, third (and Knuckles) and of course Mania (and Generations (as fanservice to celebrate Sonic's anniversary) and Sonic Forces (Same reason as Generations).
Feels The Rabbit (First appearance: None, but he was the prototype of Sonic): An rejected prototype who was gonna get his own game but SEGA decided "Nope, let make him a star and called him Ristar).
Sonic Boom Sonic (First appearance: Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric: 2014): Now he is the main character of Sonic Boom (Which is an different dimension of the normal Sonic games and did Amy right by making her less annoying) and of course kinda similar to Sonic...is okay fighting big robot....yet can't swim........that is just sad for Sonic.....anyway he have an Enderbeam thing and while his games are trash...his own cartoon is great......he also can be immature.
Paper Mario (First appearance: Paper Mario: 2001): Now this Mario is odd until his 3 latest appearance..."Sticker Star", "Paper Jam" and "Color Splash" where the concept of this series makes sense...to me at least. In his first game he must save Peach while needed to find 7 mythical Stars......what's with fiction and 7 now.....7 Dragon Balls, 7 Chaos Emeralds, 7 Star Pieces, 7 Star Spirits, 7 Crystal Stars, 7 Sol Emeralds, 7 Sticker Star things, 7 FNaF GAMES.....sorry.....and in the squeal...which sounds like something SEGA could make and the third game which sounds stupid sorta but kinda fun and the 4th game where fans calls it the worse thing but it is fun to me and the crossover which was weird and the 5th which is sorta dark if you think about it because getting rid of paint in the Paper Mario World means death..........oh my god......anyways....Paper Mario is odd.
Metal Mario (First appearance: SSB (1999) or Super Mario 64 (1996)...) now he is another popular character Mario clone and he is also kinda odd.....but hey he is an improvement compare to Baby Mario, am I right? Anyways first appearing as an Power up and having his own identity, he appears in spin-offs because Nintendo is like "Hey, why not?"
Gold Mario (Insert FNaF Golden Freddy joke here) (First appearance: New Super Mario Bros 2 (2012)....): Similar to Metal Mario, first is a powerup and now his own character.
Shadow (First appearance: Sonic Adventure 2: 2000) He is one of he most popular characters of the Sonic canon (2nd according to SB Eggman), and I am know you going to yell "BUT SHEDOW ISN'T AN CLONE YOU RETERD." and I know, I was just referring to the idiot people who mistook Sonic and Shadow...seriously, is people in Sonic's world retarded? Here is a reason why humans aren't here anymore, they die because of their stupidity....wouldn't be surprised though. He is edgy and he is serious compare to Sonic...he also is claim to be the "Ultimate Lifeform" although he isn't technically organic and more artificial o the Lifeform part is redundant jus like Aquaman and TTG and DC since "Man of Steel".
Luigi (First appearance: Mario Bros 1983): Now to make this quick, Luigi was a Mario clone to begin with as he was only created to be Player 2 in earlier Mario Games, now Luigi is also here because sometimes, he is mistaken as Mario for some reason.
Silver (First appearance: Sonic The Hedgehog 2006): Now just like why Shadow is here....Silver is also here because people in Sonic's world can't tell a difference between different color hedgehogs :/
Shadow Mario (First appearance: Super Mario Sunshine 2002): Okay, he is Bowser Jr but characters in Mario's World is similar to Sonic when it comes to confusion between characters that is sorta similar. Now, he framed Mario for a crime he didn't commit, this is literally the plot of Sonic Adventure 2........only with Peach being kidnapped.........seriously, the Dreamcast/n64/Sega Saturn/GameCube/PS2/XBOX era is weird.
Silver Sonic (First appearance: Sonic 2 1992): The first robot clone SEGA created for Sonic.
Metal Sonic (First appearance: Sonic CD 1993): The most popular of Sonic clones....seriously....he is also more of a threat than every version of Eggman combined.
Mecha Sonic (First appearance: Sonic 3 + Knuckles): Another somewhat popular clone ad the first to become SUPER...take that Metal..Mecha (1). Metal (0).
Dr. Mario (First appearance: Dr. Mario 1990): First appearing as a puzzle game in the 90s
Tanooki Mario (First appearance: Super Mario Bros 3 1998 (In Japan) 1990 in America): Read the Gold Mario and Metal Mario part since it is becoming repetive.
