Description
Here is my fan roster for SSB5 when that comes out in 5-7 years. I decided to keep everyone that was in Smash 4 except for the clones (they'll be alt costumes like they were originally.), brought back the Ice Climbers; Wolf; and Snake, and added 25 newcomers, bringing the roster to 83 characters. Do I think all of them are going to be in Smash 5? No. Would it be cool if they were? Yes. This would probably look a lot better, like with a Smash Bros character select screen, if I had the time skills, or patience to do that.
Before I explain my reasoning for my choices, here are a few honorable mentions I was thinking about, but didn't add on here: Cranky Kong, Tetra, Kamek, Zoroark, Gardevoir, Ninten, Anna, Tiki, Hades, Sukapon, Mach Rider, Lloyd Irving.
Now, the explain why I chose my newcomers:
Captain Toad: I think Toad should be Smash character, but he's Peach's neutral special. Instead, we can have this specific Toad who starred in his own game and keep Peach's counter. For a moveset, you can take stuff from Treasure Traker and the New Super Mario Bros. games. He can even have Toadette as an alt.
Waluigi: I feel he is bound to be added at some point. A lot of people really want him in Smash as a playable fighter. He would be the perfect representative for the Mario spin-off games and could have a moveset based on the Mario sports, Party, and Kart games. If Rosalina got in, Waluigi has a chance for next Smash, just not now since he's currently an assist trophy.
Paper Mario: I wanted a character to represent the Mario RPGs and Paper Mario would be perfect. Yes, it would give us three Marios, but I don't care. Because he's made of paper, this Mario would definitely fight differently than Mario or Dr. Mario. He could use his hammer, paper abilities, partners, pixels, stickers, as well as whatever he can do in Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam as a moveset.
Ashley: I wanted to put in another WarioWare character and Ashley is apparently one of the most popular characters from the series. She'd certainly be unique as she is a magic user, but she also butchers up her spells a lot. She could also use Red for some of her attacks.
King K. Rool: This one is the one everyone's been asking for Smash. We defiantly need more villains, heavyweights, and Donkey Kong characters; and King K. Rool fits into all three categories.
Dixie Kong: Like I said with King K. Rool, we need more DK characters. Dixie is another popular option as she is another female fighter.
Impa: Specifically, the Impa we got in Hyrule Warriors. I choose Impa since she's one of the few Zelda characters to actually appear in multiple games. Yes, she's another swordfighter, but she also uses several water attacks with it. The only other fighters to use water are Squirtle and Greninja. She also has a Naginata, which is basically a spear used by samurai.
Lana: Another Hyrule Warriors character because it's my roster. Lana, being a magic user, would be a nice addition since, well, we don't have a lot of those yet. Yes, she has a tome like Robin. However, Lana can actually use her tome for melee attacks and she also has a spear and a summoning game for more diversity.
Ridley: Before you complain saying Sakurai said Ridley is too big, remember he can change his mind. In Brawl, Villager, Pac-Man, and Miis were planned, but Sakurai he didn't want them. But now we have them in Smash 4. Project M actually made a very well done Ridley that is the perfect size for Smash. He's just big enough for his character but not too small to look ridiculous.
Dark Samus: If we can't get a Metroid villain as a fighter in Ridley, Dark Samus is the next best thing. She probably would be a semi-clone character, like Lucas or Wolf, but she does have a lot of different moves from Samus in her boss fights from the Prime games.
Bandana Dee: I think a fourth Kirby character would be a good idea. This specific bandana-wearing, spear-wielding Waddle Dee is one of the few characters in the series to appear in multiple games. He would be unique in the sense that we don't have a character who uses a spear predominantly yet.
Krystal: I don't know much about the more recent Star Fox games, but I do know that Krystal would be the perfect representative of them since she was introduced in the more recent ones. She wouldn't be a clone either as there are a lot of moves that could be taken from Adventure and Assault.
Sceptile: This one is really a placeholder for a 7th/whatever the latest generation of Pokémon is when Smash 5 comes out Pokémon. I put Sceptile since it is one of the most requested Pokémon at the moment. Plus, I do think Sceptile could be a very unique fighter, I mean the only character have that uses plants is Ivysaur.
Samurai Goroh: I do think it's about time we got a second F-Zero character. Samurai Goroh was the first to come to my mind when I was thinking of one. He's one of the original F-Zero racers and is Captain Falcon's rival. Since Falcon's moves were completely made up, Goroh's could also, but he'd probably mainly use is katana. I think it would be great if he shouted out his attacks like Captain Falcon does. I can imagine him shouting "Stingray Slash!" (his vehicle is called the Fire Stingray) or something for his neutral special.
Ninten: I feel we are missing some Mother 1/Earthbound Zero love in Smash. Hopefully, he'd have his own specials but he will most likely be a semi-clone like Lucas.
Viridi: If we do get a fourth Kid Icarus character, Viridi is the best option other than Hades due to how involved they are in Uprising. As for her moveset, she could have attacks were she uses plants or calls in some of her troops. Her final smash has to be her dropping a Reset Bomb on the stage.
Inkling: I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Splatoon is awesome and it deserves a fighter in Smash. Splatoon has done amazingly well for a new IP. Like with Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, etc, you can choose to be a boy or girl Inkling. Each one could also be a different color and wearing different gear. Maybe we can even get the Squid Sisters as alt costumes. For a moveset, There are a lot of weapons and sub-weapons that can be used. Their final smash could be them calling an Inkstrike.
Chorus Kids: I do like the idea of adding a Rhythm Heaven character ever since the Gamatsu leak brought up the possibility. I'm not sure what their moveset could be other than they would be a trio of characters that you simultaneously control like the Ice Climbers. If Sakurai could make movesets for Wii Fit Trainer and Duck Hunt, he could come up with one for a Rhythm Heaven character.
Isaac: Another popular requested character. I never played Golden Sun, so I don't have much knowledge on him. I do know that he has earth magic, which is certainly unique compared to the fire, electric, and dark moves the other magic/psychic fighters use.
Takamaru: The classic character I picked. I don't have else to much to say about him other than Nintendo does remember him. He appeared in a Dynasty Warriors, has an attraction in Nintendo Land, and is an assist trophy in Smash 4.
Excitebiker: Another choice for a retro character. Yes, Sakurai couldn't come up with a moveset for them in Melee, but maybe he might now.
Chibi-Robo: The troll character I picked. As for a moveset, I remember Zip-Lash giving him some combat skills. Plus, you can probably think of a lot of attacks involving his plug.
Banjo Kazzooie: If Microsoft is willing, sure. We got Ryu and Cloud, so it's possible.
Bomberman: Another famous third party character a lot of people want it. I forgot who owns him. Is it still Hudson or did they get bought out?
Rayman: He's a really goofy character and he just seems to fit Smash. Plus, the fake leak ArtsyOmni made got me interested.

Edit: 11/17/15 Replaced Simon Belmont with Cloud Strife because Cloud's confirmed and Simon's not. I couldn't find a version of his Smash artwork that doesn't have a background yet, but I'll update this as soon as I do. Plus, there's also the Smash Ballot winner and the special Smash Bros broadcast coming in December.
Edit: 12/15/15 Smash 4's roster has been finalized! Corrin actually got it! Bayonetta won the Smash Ballot! I replaced Smash 4's clones with Ninten, Captain Toad, and Excitebiker. I also replaced the indie characters with Bayonetta, Banjo Kazzooie, and Bomberman.
