Okay, I don’t know what I was thinking with that first version. It was done mostly by guesswork and there were some glaring proportion errors, especially with the arms and legs. So, I decided to do extensive episode and screenshot research on Jessica’s actual proportions in the show.

These are all of the errors that were in the original I submitted and how I fixed them in this revised edition:

• Most glaringly, Jessica’s entire body was way too tall, especially compared to Morty. I fixed this by getting enough consistent screenshots of Morty next to Jessica and compared their height. Moreover, her size and position was slightly inconsistent throughout each angle she was posed in, so I fixed this by marking the very top of her head and bottom of her foot throughout each pose with a straight line, then checked to see they matched.

• Her legs were drawn a little too thick. Like I said, I was mostly going off of guesswork and that model sheet was made before episodes like “Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat” and “The Vat of Acid Episode” gave us a slightly more consistent view of Jessica’s body from the front and back, respectively.

• Her arms were way too large and her hands were too large even in comparison to the arms. I had mostly used Summer’s model sheet as a base for proportions on Jessica, but this time around, I fixed these issues by using Annie’s model sheet instead for arm and hand proportions.

• Just a cosmetic difference, but I took out some of the poses from the original submission that weren’t consistently used in the show, most notably, Jessica’s slight 3/4 view and her not-completely-from-the-side view. I had taken the slight 3/4 view from the episode “Rest and Ricklaxation”, specifically the scene where Rick and Jessica show up to cure Morty of his confidence. I’m not sure where I got her other view, though I think if I had kept it, this version would look less consistent.

Since the production team STILL hasn’t released an official Jessica model sheet, I think this is the closest we’ll get for now and I expect great things for the upcoming Season 5 of Rick and Morty, especially since they teased that Jessica would be much more involved in episodes. Maybe this will finally be the season that Jessica reveals she’s actually a super-intelligent being who’s working undercover on Earth to overthrow the Galactic Federation!
