Description
Just the ruff (and I mean ten-minute sketch ruff) for a possible design for 's "Let's Build a Creature" contest.

Just testing the waters with this guy, trying to make sure I can cement a design that follows the rules well enough.

I just hope people don't hate me for omitting COOL features like echolocation, bioluminescence, off-the-charts-IQ, and loooooong lifespans.

Because DA doesn't NEED another glowy, extrasensory, ANCIENT GENIUS species. And besides, too much glowing'll give it away in the rainforest, no?

Traits I used-

First Choice Options
-Equine Body (Trust me, it's there. The legs are obscuring it.)
-Birdlike head
-Six legs
-Catlike paws
-No wings
-Whiplike tail
-Two eyes
-One tail
-Cat-like ears
-Goat-like eyes
-Glowing eyes (They glow in the dark, ok? Actually, they're just really reflective. Kinda like big-cats.)
-One mouth
-"Synthetic" skin (They were created to fill the gap left by the "now-extinct" apex-predators in the South American rainforest, so their skin was grafted from that of owls and animal stem-cells.)
-Crests
-Sticky Tongue (Claws are also sticky, due to a venomous secretion)
-Appaloosa Markings (They can vary from hardly any spots at all to so many spots that they cover the entire body. Leopard Appaloosa is also present, though rare.)
-Carnivorous
-Any Color (Although they are mostly DARK. But they can be DARK red, DARK, blue, DARK, green, etc.)
-Rainforest habitat
-Stealthy! TO THE EXTREME!
-3-4 ft at the shoulder
-Live in Mating pairs
-Male and Female genders
-No "special features"
-No technology (they are ANIMALS)

Runner-up Options
-Smart as an average dog/wolf
-Lifespan of 10-20 years
-Nocturnal
-Extra long Whiskers
-Venomous claws (and tongue)
-20-50 square miles of territory (Think tiger's territory. Pairs do not stick together 24/7 and often patrol their territory separately)
-Not overly social and communicate when they need to. (Mostly within their breeding pair)

This was a really neat exercise. I have to really think about how to combine it all.

Once again, this isn't my entry. ;3 I'm just throwing around ideas and making sure everything jives.
