#120: Exceedron *Main Legendary*

Eternal Darkness Pokemon

Type: Dark/Dragon

Ability: Dark Heart (Increases the stats of all party Pokemon other than EXCEEDRON as long as EXCEEDRON is able to battle. Dark and Ghost-type attacks directed at EXCEEDRON are converted into HP.)

Description: EXCEEDRON is the origin of all darkness, and, alongside his twin sister, OBERAIN, guards the balance of light and darkness. He is said to be able to absorb any evil that lies in our hearts.

After ARCEUS knows how long, we finally get to see the main legendaries of the Sapio Region, starting with Exceedron, the Eternal Darkness Pokemon! Now between Exceedron and the previously mentioned Oberain, Exceedron is the more offensive of two, wielding monstrously high physical and special attack power, and has high speed as well. Now, that doesn't mean its defenses are terrible, because they're still quite high, but it's attacking power is where it really shines. Just keep him away from Fairy-types: His Dark/Dragon typing won't like that too much.
As for moves, Exceedron certainly has a powerful line-up, with moves like Dragon Claw, Hyper Exceed (An amped up version of Dragon Dance that also raises Special Attack), Dark Pulse, Shadow Beam (A Dark-type move of my own design. Just think Hyper Beam, but with 50 less base power), Dark Balance (See my Absol Evolutions for details on this move), and even DRACO METEOR right in his level-up move-set. And, in terms of TMs, he can learn any elemental move you want him to: Flamethower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Surf, Psychic, Fly, Focus Blast, you name it. He can also learn Steel Wing, which can deal with those pesky Fairy-types. All in all, he has a very diverse movepool, and he has more than enough stats to use 'em!
But, no legendary is complete without their own signature moves and abilities, and Exceedron is no exception. To start off, there's his ability, Dark Heart. Basically, as long as Exceedron is anything but fainted, even if he doesn't take part in the battle, Dark Heart boosts the stats of all Pokemon in your party, minus himself. It also converts any Dark or Ghost-type move targeted at him into HP.
Then, there are his signature attacks, Demon's Shade and Lunatic Stream. His main attack, Demon's Shade is a wicked 150-power, 100 accuracy Dark-type attack. Yes, it's a strong attack. Yes, it lowers your Special Defense after you use it. But here's what makes it special: Like what Freeze-Dry does to Water-types, Demon's Shade deals super-effective damage on Normal and Fairy-type Pokemon! Yeah, pretty good, isn't it!?
Lunatic Stream, his other signature attack, is even better! While this move only has 90 accuracy and you have to recharge after you use it, it more than makes up for it by having a whopping 200 BASE POWER!!! And, like Demon's Shade it's also super-effective on Normal and Fairy-type Pokemon! And it's Dark-type as well, meaning you get STAB off of it.

So, let me summarize all that into 4 words: NOBODY MESEES WITH EXCEEDRON!!!
