Description
My entry for the RWBY spring contest is finished! ...and I'm not that happy with it.Okay, so there are a few things I like about it. I had fun doing the original line art(which I didn't post on this folder, wanted to post it on the contest folder after I finished coloring) and colors. But I think after all is said and done, it ended up looking kinda boring.
I know I was aiming to make tranquil, but I ended up creating lifelessness. Ugh.
In retrospect, something like butterflies would totally help it come to life a bit more. But oh well, what can you do? Any other criticisms would be appreciated!

Thank you so much!
I really try to push my skills with the drawings I post here. This was a nice way for me to draw more lively forest stuff.
The Ruby petals are something of a staple, so how could I not include it? Although I did think about making a more Ruby focused drawing. Her standing in the middle of a forest with pink rose petals flying around her. But I decided against it because I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on my backgrounds and wanted to focus on that. Glad to see that you think the colors translated well!

Well, push you did my friend! Looks lovely <3
You have a point there~ But oh so often forgotten in a lot of drawings. Im glad you added them! Fits the entire piece nicely. Though, if you ever did make that other idea just for the fun of things, I'd certainly love to see it! Completely understandable with your backgrounds too <3 I thought i was pretty decent at them with a computer but dang! Im looking forward to seeing more stuff from you <3

Thank you so much for liking my work! I hope on getting to that idea eventually. And keep up the digital work! I envy the digital arts. Ive had a drawing tablet for almost four months now and I've yet to get the hang of it.

No problem! I only recently got into digital honestly and everything i do is with my laptop trackpad ^^" I don't have a tablet yet...Maybe soon though if i chose to stick with it more <3 But tablets are easy i think...! Pressure sensitive and all that... Back when i was taking a tech class in high school last year i got to use a Kanvas Board and loved it <3 Gods that pressure sensitivity is a life saver xD But i suppose it does take a bit of practice...Just keep at it! I started by transferring my traditionally drawn lines and opening them in Photoshop (or whatever program you have downloaded) and just...traced over it. Its a way to practice anyways until you get the hang of it? And a hint...? Use lots of layers xD They are a pain to get used to at first but...Man are they useful one you get them down! Hope that helps <3 Feel free to talk to me whenever~ My profile/notes are always open!
