Haha, Micaiah's group begins so weak, but most of them turns out awesome when leveled ^^ Only Micaiah keeps getting RNG screwed in ALL of my games (and Fiona too), which makes me hate her even more lol (and for your information, I always use the boss abuse thing for them to make the Greil Mercenaries x Dawn Brigade chapters more fun ^^ )

Lol, I guess games tend to be very contradicting when they mention about those "pure" or "balanced" people. I think they don't really know the meaning of balance either. Being pure isn't being balanced, they are simply on that one side of the coin XD "Balance" is supposed to be somewhat equally on all side >_>

LOL, I wish that Eddie and Leo supports convo were canon XD (if you A support them, that's almost pure Yaoi lol) Unfortunately, almost every convos in the game are just generic as "Hi (insert name1), you look good today!" and "Hey (insert name2), good to see you!" (BTW they are also one of my favorite pairings in this game )

For some reason, I don't think Fiona is supposed to be good...even the guide book doens't recomend to use her!

I just played(well,re-played) up to part 3 and just finished Micaiah's laguz massacre chapter. And I saw Mordecai! I didn't see him last time I played. I tried a different difensive stradegy this time. And i was so mad that I couldn't get Zihark to him in time! he was like...2 spaces away! I should maybe atleast try and get up to Lethe but I was too worried that my units were too weak so I polayed defensive the whole time. Oh wait, no, I just finsihed the next chapter after that. And I got Zihark and Jill back. Yay!

I used to do a lot of different abuses but afte ra while I just get tired of doing it and just get it over with(but I try to end it with a weaker character to gte EXP). And then after a LONG while, I go back to my abuses.

Eh, who knows. I usually understand the game's good and bad, pure and evil, etc...but Micaiah's concept...totoally lost.

I know!!! Ever since I read their A support for the first time, i Just went "AH! OMG I think they're gay!" then my brother goes "They're just best friends" and my friend gave the tv screen a wierd look and siad "They're pretty close friends then..."
I know, some of the talking isn't very fun to read. I tihn konly certain characters have different diologues. like Ike and Soren. Boyd and mist.
Leo and Ed were the only shonen-ai/yaoi couple that joined my Fire Emblem list. Kinda felt bad that there weren't more couples. Oh! Wait, I slightly like Ike/Sothe in this game only. Other than those two couples, i already like Ike/Soren, Stefen/Soren, and Ike/Ranulf.

Haha, I guess age is another reason to him ^_^ Now I'm older than his PoR self (NOOOO) but he's older in RD (27-28, depending how there has been 1 year passed from the beginning of the game and its ending), so I can still let my fangirlism toward him, until I reach 30 XD

Well the only way I found to make Fiona awesome (I had to in my Earth affinity only playthrough) is a Forged weapon with the highest MT then use the boss abuse in the next chapter after you recruit her. Beside of that, she's too hard to level as she will deal very few to no damage to the endgame chapter for this part Beside, she doesn't have any cool personalities so she's useless

I wonder why the developers made the game so hard for the Dawn Brigade chapters. Especially in harder modes. That laguz chapter is painful, I think I have never gotten to Mordecai, not even with my uber Leo and Eddie >_< I think the whole beast Laguz gang are on that chapter, but not sure about Ranulf >_>

Lol, the boss abuse thing is plain boring, so I understand you. I wonder if anyone broke my record. Last time I did that was during the DB endgame chapter, in like.... 2200 turns (it was normal mode I think). Of course, it took me many nights to do that But at least I saved the chapter after and I'll never clear that save file lol, I don't think I can ever do it again. At least the DB managed to kill few GM, except Oscar because he kept unleashing Sol on everyone >_>

Yeah some characters have unique convo (I'm especially thinking of Oliver). But I don't mind, let's have our fantasy thinkings about our Eddie x Leo or Oscar x Kieran if you check out this site , you'll find out that pretty much every A support convos sound yaoi/yuri/romantic blabla, lol >_<

I'm not really into Ike x Soren though >_> Lol, Ike x Sothe sounds funny though

Arg! Final Exams is coming up! And I spend yesturday playing Fire Emblem! not a good way to repare but I tihnk doing some stradegy playing might make me a tad smarter or atleast think outside the box.

Ooh! Or you can make him grow older with you every year! I kinda do that. There's one anime/manga I'm obsessed with, Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, and they do have ages so they're actually right around my age so they're technically growing with me! So I'll always be around the same age as my bishies!^_^(only in that anime/manga)

I remember the first time I used her. I like horseback units and Micaiah fianlly got one so i used her in the next chapter and...she got killed right away. I never used her since.

I think the Dawn Brigade chapters actually focus more on stradegy b/c you need to use everything around you to your advandage. My brother found an easier way to beat that chapter. Before, what I did was have the ally units stay still and not roam. While my units cover in the remaining spaces to defend the whole time. My brother usesd the same stradegy(defending) but if we took a few spaces outward, there's less space to cover(b/c of the logs) and I can let my allies roam. not sure if that made any sense to you, but it helped and i defended until I kill(I feel guilty of doing thoughT_T) enough laguz. But I still wanted to talk to Mordecai!

I think the only GOOD think I like about Micaiah is saving that boy Nico. Other than that....I can't think of any reason why anyone should like her at all.

Really? Wow! Thanks! Oh! During my first playthrough, I tried to get Soren and Stefen but I dind't make it to an A in time! I was like one conversation away from getting that A!

At teh same time I'm of course playing Radiant Dawn. arg! I spared Micaiah's misery b/c I wanted to use Pelleas! I'm in the edngame of part 3 already.

Lol, you should be studying, though sometimes it's hard to resist playing our favorite game XD But studying too much isn't good, so I guess it's okay playing the game a bit between all the studies ^^

You're lucky to have your fandom character growing XD Well I can imagine them growing, but since they will probably never reappear in any game ever, it will be hard XD Why are perfect guys never real? That's a bad thing in anime/manga/games, I guess, main characters are always too young and never grow up, or if they are old, they are like immortal beings that stays always young physically D: This game has many many many many bishies in the twenties and thirties XD (Geoffrey, Kieran, Oscar, Shinon, Gatrie, Rhys, RD Ike, RD Boyd, Volke (well he looks in the thirties), Haar, and maybe Makalov (well he's kinda cute lol), plus Zihark (well he's a bishie, but less my style ))

Fiona is one of those characters I don't mind having killed (along with Sanaki and Micaiah) I also remember having Oscar killed once at the time I wasn't still fan of him, but seeing he was a cute happy squinty guy (I like happy squinting characters ^^ ), I restarted the chapter anyway, lol

Yeah, that's how I beat the chapter too, actually that's the best strategy to use in those kind of defend maps ^^ I always put any NPC at stay, regardless of the map style, because they always steal experiences D: (now, if only I could control those darn laguz in the first chapter of part 3... it's almost impossible to reach the boss part without having tons of laguz blocking the path D: )

Lol, that's true, she did really well saving Nico (though she didn't bother saving all the other people killed by Begnion soldiers after, probably because they were not children ) I rarely see people liking her actually, beside for her good look (but since she's a girl I don't care how sexeh she is )

Haha, Soren and Stefan will make a Branded country together if they support each other to the maximum ^^ I think that's cute ^_^

Haha, our convo makes me want to play the game too, but I don't have the time Must.. finish school project.... Pelleas is actually my favorite mage in the game and is pretty awesome overall, so you won't be disappointed by him ^_^ Plus, when you attack Sephi with him, he makes one of the best battle cry in the game (well it is too me)

I just feel battle for letting people die! I mena...they had a personality! And they had a life! And they are good people! I feel so horrible fi I continue on witohut a unit! Even if I don't use them!

I know, they do steal kills. I know sometimes, I just can't help it b/c I'm too lazy or i just od'nt care at that moment so I'll let them help me out i nthat level.

I'm enjoying Pelleas!!He's such a nice guy! I feel bad for him at times! The presssure of being king and all(and forced to needing Micaiah b/c everyone falls for he 'good' act).
I think I use magic wielders too much...If i didn't get Tormad late in part 4, and I had more time to raise his lelves, I would've brought him to the final chapter with me. In Eliwood's game, I think I use all the mages-Sages availabe!!!

Wow you must be awesome to succeed bringing Rolf to the boss. I always bring either Oscar or Titania to him since it's easier because they are mounted unit, though I always make sure Oscar get the kill (yay favoritism ) I also make sure I don't help the laguz at all so I reach the boss before them!

Well, yeah Micaiah was unconscious when adults got killed, but Sothe could have done something >_> Or the other Dawn Brigade Well Micaiah has many FANBOYS because of her sexehness and almost loli look (same goes for Nephenee and Mia), but I guess on DA she doesn't have much fans since from what I notice, most of FE artists are girls lol.

My Fire Emblem RD mood actually dropped a bit since vacation started, but that's mainly because I'm doing hard mode and still doing the boss/priest abuse because Hard mode is... hard D: Boss abuse is BORING, especially on hard mode where Experiences suck

I'm not a fan of mages in RPGs, but Pelleas is just awesome Plus he's kinda cute (in a kiddy way >_> not hot ) Well he doesn't really have a battle cry, but he goes something like BLLLLARRRRGHHH Which I find very funny Looks like he's vomiting or he just has an awful cry o_O

Sacred Stones! I don't know why people don't like that game, I prefer it over 7 >_> They say the story sucks, but it's not like if FE games got the most amazing stories in the game industry >_> (it doesn't mean I don't like them though )

Sanaki's snob-ishess does make her funny! And it's understandable b/c of her high class but the fact that she doesn't look down on people is why I like her(besides the maturity and good ruler part I mentioed already)

I know I use Meg when I have her but then I od'nt use her as much as the story later on(since Micaiah doesn't have many parts later on)

I remember gettig her to a general 1 time but an't rmemember how it went...

Ooh! Nephenee is one of my most fav units! Mianly b/c she's a very balanced unit. Good range, attack and dodge! I love halbediers!

lol! I was doing the priest abuse(there were 2 priests) for Meg and...dang who was it?! Oh! Jill! in Part 4! Oh wow It took so long but I was having fun and they gained a lot of levels!(okay lik 5 or 6 at least, prob more)

It's so much fun playing Pelleas!!! Dakr magic! It's been awhile since using Dark magic! Like in Sacrad Stones I would always use Knoll!

I like all FE games. I just think Sacrad Stones was the easiest one due to the tower and many opporatunites to train. Other than that, I found it just as good as the other games! For crying out loud my Amellia is lv. 20 general and she OWNS!!!

Now I'm wondering, what's your style? Like you're playing style?

like me: I prefer magic wielders and swordwieldes. And a couple of mounted units. Like Pokemonn actually, I like the speedy types. And I like to attack indirectly a lot. Lucky for me, all the main characters, until Failcaiah, uses words are lances whcih I like to use(especailly swords). Except for Hector but unlike most axe wierdlers, he's a decent dodger and hitter. Oh! And laguz! I always laguz with me if I can! Mainly the cats.

I like asking b/c it's very surprising and fun to see how other people play! Like my brother, he's more of using powerhouses. So generals are one of his favorites to play. He's the opposite of me. He uses the big powerfouses like genrals and axe-users. He still uses swords-users too but yeah...our biggest difference is that I tend to use the naturally faster units with weak defense but good dodging and he uses the naturally powerful units that have high defense.

So yeah, wha'ts your style?

Yeah, Sanaki loves her people, I must admit, buuuuut.. Yeah, maybe it's my "I hate loli" side that has taken me D: And the fact that many people find her hot is kinda.... blaargh Oo (she looks (and is) like a kid darnit O_O )

Of course I read about Rolf's mom XD In fact, I got it on my first playthrough. That info was the first step into becoming a fan of the three brothers So few backstory given in the game (for unimportant characters at least) and then the three bros got their very own uber interesting backstory info making it probably one of the most interesting info in the game despite missing an uber item. It makes me really happy

Nephenee is fine, but the fact that EVERY SINGLE GUYS on Gamefaqs (or any FE board) worship her as if she was their goddess annoy me like hell. She's good and she's a great character personality wise, but not the greatest unit IMO (people probably think she's great cuz she's supposedly hawt, I mean, even many of them finds Failcaiah cool despite being a terrible unit and being extremely MarySue. Some even say that Ike is more MarySue than her, WTH?).

Dark magic is just cool. Their animation is pretty scary, and it's just fun to see such emo guys like Pelleas using that kind of magic. Plus he's kinda cute.

Playing style? I mostly do favoritism playthrough, though I did a Earth playthrough once (with only Earth affinity). Yeah people would find boring playing like I do, but I don't XD

I like speedy units too. Double attack > Super strength to me (but yeah, balance of both is better ). Indirect attack is cool too XD But it really depends, I always use strategy and such, depending of the weapons characters have, indirect of not. So direct or indirect is fine by me

A lot of people find Nehpanee hot. But atleast sh's bette than Failcaiah so I'm not complaining.

Ike for one, is not Gary-Stu. I can see where people ar ecoming from with that but he's not! If he's so 'erfect' wouldn't Ike have been strong enough to save his father? Wouldn't he be able to touch the medallion? Wouldn't he hold in his his tears and emotions about losing his father?
One tihng I love about main characters like Ike so that the most tragic things seems to happen to them but even they can cry. It shows that beven the most perfect people can cry. I know they're not really perfect, but I love how they're the clsoest things to perfection while still being flawed and lets us know that even they were weak at one point. ooh, Eliwood really let it out when his father died.

Favoritiism? I guess I kinda do that. I mainly use people I love and like or even people I'm okay with. Which is everybody almost but I obviuosly cna't use everybody. How did that Earh affinity playthrough go? That sounds interesting and fun! lol!

Now that I tihnk about it, I hink my favoriet characters usually are the speedy units lol! I guess I just have a tihng for sowrdwilders and magic usesers!

I personally don't find Nephenee THAT hot. Not because I'm a girl so I don't find girls hot, but because there are tons of other hot girls. I find Mia, Titania and Nailah over 9000 more hawter than Nephenee. She's just a normal country girl with long green hairs. Lol, yeah, she's better than Failcaiah, no doubt about that. But it's easy for anyone to be better than her

Well actually, of the three sentinels, Nephenee is really the greatest at final stats and average growth, but I would choose Aran over her because at least Aran has a true utility in the Dawn Brigade Chapters (where defense is needed, and Aran is good at defense; we don't really need Nephenee beside the first chapter you get her). Danved/Devdan is cool too (his personality is weird but fun ) but he isn't really useful in the chapters he's on. Mouhahahah XD

That's all true about Ike >_> How can people call him GaryStu? D: He even have flaws, he doesn't like everybody, doesn't have sympathy for everyone (lol at him still being mean even when Sephiran revealed the sad reason of his madness) and he's blunt. Actually, I recall Ike didn't really cry when his father died (his info conversation with Rhys said so, he told him he couldn't cry, so he asked Rhys to cry for him). Though in the cutscene, he looked like he was going to burst into tears O_o

My Earth affinity went well, but I discovered I totally screwed up something at the last boss so I simply restarted, but I didn't redo the playthrough again. I would eventually, it's so much fun to see Ike and Oscar owning the whole GM chapters alone XD Especially the chapter where they have to protect the fortress (3-5 I think), I put Ike on the green square and Oscar just below him, and there was like 60 enemies around them trying to reach that green square. No one could even touch both Ike and Oscar XD It was so funny What's also fun with Earth affinity is that there are 9 non required unit to have the Earth affinity (Nolan, Volug, Zihark, Fiona, Lucia, Oscar, Tanith, Caineghis, Renning), with two required (Ike and Ena). So you can bring them all to the endgame XD

I try to use most of the characters as well, even some I don't like (except Sanaki, I level Failcaiah because she's required ), though I always bring the same ones in the Endgame.

yeah, I got Shadow Dragon, but I thought since this was a remake, I thought they'd give more personalities to character as well, but I was so wrong The game is fun, but the characters are boring as hell. I love FE especially for characters personalities, and this one doesn't have any for almost every characters. I was so desperate for personalities I began to play Abel and Cain like if they were Oscar and Kieran (since Abel and Cain are the green and red knight duos )

Same here, even after everything I go through in raising some character's levels...I still tend to bring the exact same characters to the endgame except for maybe 2 differences since the first playthrough. Like my recent one...I actually brought Edward into the Endgame! I'm surprised I raised Edward that high!

Yeah, I deifnately noticed how some of the characters don't even talk!!! I started using characters based on looks at that point!
Ooh, I did use Abel! But I stopped using Cain...there were too many cavaliers!
I really wished they had supports though! Instead, we have like...single conversations betewen certain charcters.

FE8 is one of the few FEs that are consistent across versions. Others like FE10 has the dialogues altered a lot, as I've seen.

Yeah I've heard about FE10 being somwehat different in many events, like the Black Knight vs Ike dialogue in 3-7. From what I read, it was completely different stuff. Also some stuff in the 3rd part prologue is also different.

What I'm currently aware of:

- Ike is the father of Sothe's children only in the overseas version

- Marcia doesn't say the "I'll sell him to you" thing in the Japanese version

This is a blog of some player who's played through FE 9 & 10 (JP & US) - talk about devotion! And of course you can find some version differences in this blog.

And as seen, character personalities differ much between version. Pealleas is more emotional, Mist sounds somewhat cuter, Marcia has more insults and Micaiah is more, eh, sacarstic. A lot more to name as you read that blog.

Personally I prefer the overseas version. ...So this is INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS. Making an imperfect game at first, and keep patching and editing it later... and the end result is still imperfect.

But then, that's exactly what gives fans a place to put in their own fandom stuff!

I'm sorry it took me so much time replying ;_; (and I don't mind having the original conversation destroyed, as long as it's not on ff.net (I HATE IT when people review fan fics and only say stuff like "I LOVE THIS CHARACTER ALSO" with absolutely no review on the actual story itself) )

O_O Wow, that guy must really love the game to buy both the US and the Japanese versions. I agree then that the US versions is a little more emotional/dramatic/personality.

I heard Japanese fans also complained about the lack of personalities in Radiant Dawn, especially for the DB characters, so they released some designers' info about the DB group, Nolan, Eddie and Leo (well, Micaiah and Sothe as well, but since they already have their spotlight, I don't need to mention them ). Yes I've seen the designers' notes. Both the original the the SerenesForest.com one.

I've actually found website (contains semi-adult contents in the fanwork part) that shows some conversations in a one-to-one way. It's interesting to see many parts of the English version is simply "........." in the Japanese one.

I hope to see more background information released officially for the new characters. And I'd have never known Nolan was a businessman before.

Yeah it surprised me too about the businessman part.

Oh I've seen that website before (when I was hunting for some Japanese fan art sites), but I didn't really pay attention to the script parts. Interesting that guy/girl took the time to not only see the difference between the English and Japanese script, but dialog difference as well if some characters survived in PoR not (notably the three brothers in PoR in the beginning ), which is something I haven't found at all in any English site, not even Serene, Gamefaqs or FEplanet. That person is really dedicated. O_o

Well I'm glad the English version add the "Eeep!" from Oscar in the Three brother RD info because it only made him even sweeter

I somewhat dislike Micaiah also ):
She is too Mary-Sue [although I have to admit that I lover drawing her, just to color her yellow/golden eyes, but I think Sanaki is better xD]
Not to mention that she always kills my nerves when I'm playing FE10 hard mode >_>... she is way too slow D:U

And...as a last comment... I loved the Ephraim + Eirik chibis xD they made me laugh [not to mention that FE8 is one of my favourite FE games]

Thank you XD FE8 is very underrated, but for some reason, I had more fun with that game than with FE7 XD Sure it was easy, but.. >_< I think that was because I felt too bad for Lyon

Lol, Micaiah really get RNG screwed with her speed. The only way to have a decent Micaiah for me is battlesave abuse or BEXP >_< (but then Battlesave doesn't work on hard mode )

And I also felt really bad for Lyon T_T...poor him

And battle save like, 223784827364283786 times [xDU] for her to get speed!
And only in hard mode D:
Not to mention that she is useless in the Black Knight chapter :B ... not even in the bushes she is able to dodge a simple axe attack ¬¬U
