Hum, yeah. A crappy idea I got while playing Path of Radiance. There's that chapter where you can re-recruit Shinon by talking to him with Rolf, then finish him with Ike. The only problem with that is that Shinon is an enemy on that map, so when I try to make him "approach" my team, he can end up killing one of my members (which happened to poor Devdan
). I usually use Oscar to get into Shinon's killing range since he kicks ass so much in this game and not only he's a killer, but he's a tank (so Shinon always does 0 damage to him. Mouhahaha)!Anyway, that scene is supposed to explain that Shinon is the one who taught Rolf archery, and it's supposed to be a secret (I guess Shinon probably doesn't want to show people that he likes kids
). But how can this be a secret if I always surround Shinon with that much characters hanging around him (so that way he can't kill anyone. Sucks to have archers stuck with a range of 2, and not at least 1-2 like mages)? Fire Emblem physic, I guess...I always thought Oscar already knows that Shinon is Rolf's teacher because it's kinda obvious, but Boyd still doesn't know. Anyone thinks the same? ^_^
Yeah that's Ike behind Shinon. And I had to draw Kieran because he's made of too much awesomeness. Yeah and I made Shinon looks kinda soft... well... I guess deep inside him he's a softie
And I was too lazy to make a bg. Or to add super details. So it's crappy.

luckily there's no situations like this in Fire Emblem Gaiden since archers in that game have an attack range of 1-3.

This is made of so much win. Everybody just looks so CUTE! Especially Kieran. And the horses. And the axe, which is as tall as Boyd. And also Oscar's general squintiness. And, well, pretty much everything about this is adorable.

Yeah I think he's one of the hardest to recruit when you have no idea how to recruit him, lol. You must have been very lucky. XD
Even with a guide, I freaked out when I "killed" him with Ike. As Shinon disappeared from the map, I thought the guide was wrong, lol.

i WAS very lucky! i tried having rolf talk sense into him, but when i thought it was hopeless i decided Ike should be the one to finish him. imagine my surprise when everything worked out!

Well I think Shinon can hug a kid. He did mention something about kids, that they are just kids and should stay kids, and that adults are all like corrupted and stuff. He's right, actually, and unfortunately. :C

Oh, and... .-. My first playthrough, Shinon decided to attack Soren. Who had been long before that a level 20, so he was preeeeeeeeeetty good. Anyways, Shinon thought he'd be a smartass and try to take down Soren. Shinon: -miss- Soren: -attackattack- And the dude was dead. o3o Silly Shinon, don't mess with the Soren.

Yeah I did accidentally kill Shinon that way before too, lol. Except usually it's when he attacks Oscar as I always use him as a meatshield, and sometimes I forget to equip him with a one range weapon, lol. So yes
Shinon would have better been off a NPC or something so he can't attack, period, lol.

Haha, well Shinon does have a good side (in personality). He at least appreciates the friends he has. Just look at the convo with him and Gatrie. Shinon was ready to search for the girl who dumped Gatrie and stole him of all his money even though it was totally Gatrie's fault for his stupid move, lol. He also started to respect Janaff (who is a subhuman to him XD ) when he realized how old he was and how much experience he had in life. And what about Rolf? Shinon said he likes kids (NOT IN A LOVE WAY) because they have yet to learn about corruption and stuff that adults like himself are living and doing.
Not to mention he's also one of the very few in the GM to actually compliment on Oscar's cooking!
Oh, and he's a super h4x unit in RD too XD

Dx I didn't use him though. Shinon is Shinon and will forever be Shinon. But I'm going to start formally roleplaying him and using him in playthroughs because I need more reasons to like him. It's worked with everyone else I didn't like. Worked a /miracle/ for Naesala. It should work for him just fine. But he needs the brave bow. It's an honor to be bestowed upon him.
