Description
Finally, a submission, lol. Usually I take days to finish something, but I finished this one within one day, lol. Which is surprising, between blackouts that happened from times to times today as well as a visit to the vet and the pet shop (one of my birds is sick :c ), I still managed to finish that one, lol.Well, for a good reason. There's a lot of copy/paste in it, haha. Yes, you can call me lazy now.
Done this for the contest over for where you have to draw a funny comic. I dunno if that one is funny, I thought about that one in seconds, lol. I'm sure any FE fans have done that kind of boss/priest abuse from times to times. Well, I do, all the time. I want my Dawn Brigade to pwn the Greil Mercenaries in the 3-13 chapter.
Also, the group has a new forum! Be sure to visit it if you are a Fire Emblem fan!
Also, since critique is a feature for everyone now, I shall use this too. Because critiques help me. I'd like to submit it in the Critique folder as well, but I dunno if it's possible to do so, lol.
So...

Thanks for the critique! I do agree with you about the whole copy and paste panels. I guess it wasn't that much a good idea. That's definitely something I will try to avoid in the next comics (if I ever do one, lol).
However, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "it would not require much vision to come up with a comic about a game". I personally think the fact that so many people have done something makes it a good comic material as the humorists do the same with their jokes.
Again, thanks for letting me know your critiques. I will definitely make use of them!

InΒ Awakening I have a similar method: take a tanky unit (Frederick for instance), make sure he or she won't use a weapon, place the unit in a danger zone. Now we have the annoying part with a dumbass trying to kill somebody against wich he deals no damage at all until his weapon breaks. Then? Abuse him with a very low level unit, gaining exp wihout dealing damage AND without the threat of being utterly oblitterated by an enemy. Oh BTW, kill every other enemy before starting the exp farming.
P.S: the best units to abuse this way are knights and generals, especially the second ones since they have quite a good resistance

it's a real shame that the Dawn Brigade heavily encourages the use of abuse tactics. i usually finish part 1 with every members of the Dawn Brigade at around level 10 in their 2nd tier class.

Yeah, priests (and unarmed bosses) are so kind and convenient to weak characters They also help my PoR Rolf and Mist grow.

I actually recently realsed that in PoR, leveling up your characters with bonus exp is the same as with battle because any number of stats can be boosted while in Radiant Dawn when you level up your characters with bonus exp your are assured to have three stats boost, nothing less nothing more.

This is sad but i will say it in radiant dawn (this is my first time playing i got it over Christmas) I over used Sothe because i knew that like 5 people hog up experience so my mind told me it doesn't matter who i use BIG MISTAKE now no one in my team in close to promoting and i'm using all of the 1st tier units expect that useless peace of shit and i'm literally stuck to boos abusing in chapter 7Β

supertimer In reply to theshinyespon [2014-01-09 22:10:40 +0000 UTC]
Well at least your abuse levels in chapter 7, lol. At my first playthrough I did nothing of the sort, and even Easy mode was pretty hard as soon as I got the Dawn Brigade in later chapters.
Never abuse the "Jeigan-like " characters.

supertimer In reply to Dewani90 [2013-12-19 04:29:11 +0000 UTC]
Yeah it's even more convenient when they only have one ranged weapons. Characters like Leo are then much easier to level, lol.

XD exp abuse good times. Even though I never used her I leveled up Vika a ton Β by having her counter kick a boss for HOURS XD And in FE9 Rolf started his career by poking a boss over and over. Having him strong enough to slaughter the upcoming crows was worth terrible tactics rating XD

supertimer In reply to thunderanima [2013-09-15 15:48:37 +0000 UTC]
Haha I do that for Rolf as well in FE9, I bet you do that on that chapter where he appears as a playable unit? I think I've reached above 999 turns in that chapter once by leveling him and other characters!
Also sorry for late reply ;_;

Thanks! You should try FE10 (and FE9 along with it)! The Tellius universe of Fire Emblem is my favorite Fire Emblem world. FE10 has crappy supports but it has some of the best information conversations, great gameplay and better story than FE13!

If you have nailah glare at the priest, he isn't allowed to move, even if he wants to. I could be wrong, but I think it also gives him a boost to defense so you can get farther before you get to the point where you kill the priest in one round with bronze weapons. It is a great way to get Fiona up to speed.

supertimer In reply to Taggerung559 [2013-02-10 19:32:54 +0000 UTC]
Glare is random and extremely rare :/ During all of my playthroughs, it happened only once, so I prefer to use the boss abuse (with a forged weapon).
π: 0 β©: 1
Taggerung559 In reply to supertimer [2013-02-10 20:12:36 +0000 UTC]
With base stats Nailah, it's an 11% chance of working, 21% if she is on her best biorhythm. If you kill all moving enemies, you just need to worry about keeping a priest alive who has an unbroken staff. Then you have all the time in the world to glare them and unless that staff is only a heal, they will regain health faster than a boss on an objective tile, meaning they will stay alive longer, and with a glared priest you don't need to use more expensive or forged weapons.

and then there is the classic reverse of the situation: allowing a unit to slowly suffer poison so your cleric can heal him each turn.

Thentiar [2012-10-07 11:04:08 +0000 UTC]
That's really funny.
I love the expression of the poor used priest. Specially on the last one. I can imagine that after a few times, he stops healing himself just do die and escape this torture
But, one thing: Eduard is the only useful character of the Brigade! He would never just make 8 HP damage! Never!!! All the others maybe, if their biorhythm is well.
I just used the boss abuse for healer. Put an unarmed weak, someone carrying character in front of the boss and wait 'till the weapons are broken. But this one? I think I'll copy it
π: 0 β©: 1
supertimer In reply to Thentiar [2012-10-19 11:46:34 +0000 UTC]
thanks! Let's hope the priest will eventually think of doing so
While I don't like Micaiah much, she's still pretty useful with her tome Thani, which does massive damage on Heavy Knights and Horse riders, and I recall there are many of them during the Dawn Brigade chapters. So it's not just Edward You could say Nolan is good too for a bit of more damage at the start, and Sothe for the same thing too. XD
Yeah I do the boss abuse too. But I thought that'd be more funny with a priest for this comic, lol.
π: 0 β©: 1
Taggerung559 In reply to supertimer [2013-02-06 03:46:38 +0000 UTC]
Nolan has earth affinity. And he has enough speed to double people with axes, which will hurt. On the highest difficulty, the lack of the weapon triangle and Edwards lack of durability when he doesn't dodge make him a good deal less useful.

Seremia [2012-09-04 23:10:44 +0000 UTC]
Oh fuck Edward you're killing me. I mean, the priest. Well... xD
I do that, too because it is so lucrative! But it takes so long to level those Dawn Brigade guys...Leonardo and Edward are awesome, but if they are neglected it is hard to make them very useful in the later chapters.
But I still love them =w= b
I really like your drawingstyle. It reminds me of an old school anime style such as Akira!
π: 0 β©: 1
supertimer In reply to Seremia [2012-09-06 01:21:57 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, that is why abuse is almost like the only way to make the DB awesome. Unless you aim to finish the game as quickly as possible :c
Woah really? Thank you! I like older anime style and the older anime, period, so maybe it comes from them, haha! (by older I mean those very old ones like in the 60s, 70s and 80s lol, Astroboy FTW!)
π: 0 β©: 1
Seremia In reply to supertimer [2012-09-06 23:41:11 +0000 UTC]
Indeed! I love the Dawn Brigade and I want them to be all strong such as the Greil Mercenaries! But I know that this si so hard to accomplish and that's why I take as much time as possible to train them.
Especially Edward and Leonardo ~ Also Micaiah, because you need her. Well, everyone of the Dawn Brigade.
I love situations like those, where you have a priest to pick on
Yeah! I could tell immediately that your drawingstyle was based on an older one. I really prefer those over the ones who are running nowadays. Of course with a few exeptions. The older ones looks a bit more realistic but still anime-like! ~

Hahaha! Oh, man, I so totally did this way too often than I should mention. It's a clever use of game mechanics, if you ask me.

Yes, that is why we call this an abuse. XD But abusing gameplay mechanics make a game slightly more fun.

Come on admit it everyone! We've all done it at one point. Let us bow our heads in prayer for the countless priests who gave their lives so we that could get our weaker units to a respectable level....
