Description
This pic is quite old (2005 to be exact). I've done this for a Coloring course at school. We had to choose one of the poems/fable the teacher gave us and make two colorful pictures from them, one with cold colors and one with warm colors. I chose "Le Corbeau et le Renard" (Raven and Fox) I don't exactly remember the score I got, but I think I got a high scoreWarm one can be seen here .
EDIT: WOW Daily deviation! So that's what DD means >_> I've been absent for few days and I never knew that O_O Thank you very much! ^_^

I really like both of the paintings! But in one way I wish they were the opposite, the warm cold, and the cold warm. I feel like the atmosphere in them would get strenghten that way. In this it looks like the fox should be happy because he's found food, so has the raven (warm and positive). In the other one the raven looks afraid that the fox is going to get him (cold and negative).
Yet... I haven't read the tale, and don't really know what it's about! What's your thought on them? Anyway, I'm impressed by the colouring!

aah! I was required to memorize the entire story once.
"maitre corbeau sur un arbre perche tene en son bec un fromage..."
let's just say that the raven pretty much got shafted
but this is a really nice illustration, I love it!

How cool!
I love the shapes of the fox and raven. Very cool.
I actually did a Vector series of Aesop's fables for a class recently. This fable happened to be one, but I never posted it on DA. :/
Anyway, congrats on your DD!

These are so cute! Love them both.
The power of color has always amazed me. How you can change the mood of things just by applying a different palette.
And I want to pet that fox.
