Description
- I USHERED SOULS INTO THE NEXT WORLD. I WAS THE GRAVE OF ALL HOPE. I WAS THE ULTIMATE REALITY. I WAS THE ASSASSIN AGAINST WHOM NO LOCK WOULD HOLD.- "Yes, point taken, but do you have any particular skills?"
-- Death consults a job broker (Terry Pratchett, Mort)
Is he posing or picking his teeth?
I just finished reading Mort, by Terry Pratchett, and just didn't see it fitting to not do this. Terry's Death is one of my favorites, he's funneh^^ Also, I know he's got a tiny heart somewhere inside that ribcage of his, as much as he tries to deny it.
The idea that Death can be something friendly, that something dark can be beautiful, that's what I like best about these kinds of characters.

"Cool I dreamed recently that I was going to new york I would probably enjoy it more now that I'm older."
Ironic. I happen to be from there (I moved though, to wonderful Texas 2 years ago... -_-)
Anyway, if you need to know anything when you do visit, ask.
The city is beautiful, the food is great, the people are... well they are honest. The architecture is probably the most breathtaking of it all. You have to literally lift your head as much as you can to see the tops of the buildings, which are coated in decorative carvings. There are still cobblestone paths, and tons of art and history museums.
Literally, the city is one massive, busy work of art.
The negative- ABSURDLY expensive even just to visit.
Though crime is pretty under control, but you still have to be careful. Cops are pretty lazy overall in NY, and there aren't enough of them.
All in all I HIGHLY recommend visiting the city.
Go with friends though. The discussions make it all better.
MORE TO THE POINT
I really do like this piece.
Death is my favorite mythical being for the record.
The background looks fiery, and he himself looks ancient.
The colors you chose were great, and the whole composition
has this wonderful gloomy feel to it.
Ever play Shadowgate? XD
This rendition really reminds me of that.

Sigh, I guess you need to stay a bit longer than two days to really get to see the best of new york.
It's funny to think I've been two times in that city that's in one out of two movies I wish I had moneys, then i could visit anywhere I want.
Well thank you so much for all the compliments^^ Death is the MAAAN. And nope, never even heard of Shadowgate.

Money problems too eh? I would love to
travel around a bit as well. I want to visit Moscow >:C
I had gone to the city countless times and it still hadn't gotten old.
It drained me of money every time, but it was always so much fun.
Don't thank me for the compliments by the way-
credit is given where credit is due.
Yes, Death is unspeakably awesome. My favorite version was
the one where he had large, crowlike black wings and a large cloak.
Shadowgate is an old computer game. It's a point-and-click puzzle
adventure game. It was fun.

Stupid money. I wish we could trade something for a plane ticket. Like my brother or something
Wow what version is that of the wings? Not Terry Pratchett, is it?
So shadowgate is a bit like Simon The Sorcerer? God I loved that game, I've been wanting to play it again lately, wonder if it's even possible in this computer.

Amusing. He's that bad eh? XD
Really, it may be too late but the trick with them (usually) is to spend time with them and try not to ignore them without a good excuse.
They get annoying because they want attention and get bored easy. No patience.
Money is a problem for me at the moment as
well. Noone's hiring -_-
To be honest I have no idea where I saw this version. It could have been a book, a movie, an artist, a videogame...
I have seen it several times though. I may depict him later.
Hey! You like adventure games as well? ^_^
I downloaded Simon the Sorcerer.
Reminds me of Monkey Island a bit.

You might need DosBox (hard to use) or something to run it. Here it is.

This is the old version of Shadowgate.

If you need help getting any of it to work for you feel free to ask. ^_^
Also, you seem a good conversationalist and all around interesting individual.
If you ever wish to speak, feel free to add me in any or all of the IM clients I have listed in my profile.

Haha nah, only sometimes XD
I don't play much lately, what with college and all. So thanks for the link, but I don't think I'll ever install it
And thanks^^ Though I don't chat often either I kinda got bored with it a long time ago.

Ah, sorry to hear it. College can be good (I enjoy a bit
of the learning) but can really be a time-leech. -_-
I recommend you make a text document and save suggestions like
that in it. So, one day when you are bored you have a list
of new things you can do. That's what I do anyway. ^_^
I can understand that. I wouldn't be using blasted IM if I had
a choice in the matter. It is far slower, less personal, and
interesting than a typical conversation. Boring is a good word for
it.
But, I digress-
Back to browsing Deviant Art.

It is a time leach! Though I'm surprised at how well I'm taking it O.o
That text document would probably be ten pages long, people suggest too many things to me, seriously, it's crazy XD I do appreciate it, thank you! And the funny thing is: I'm never bored... O___O There's always something I want to do. I guess that should be a good thing.

Although I haven't read Mort yet. But I read the other one, Reaper Man. And when I wanted to borrow it from the local library for the second time, it turned out last pages were missing.

Book addictions are the best! I'm already pretty much addicted to C.S. Lewis. Not Pratchett yet, especially because the books in the library are not always in the best state... but Wyrd Sisters are constantly lying on my nightstand! I bought it while in the USA and before leaving there I had been on a theatre performance of a play that's based on it; it's always sold out, so I was really lucky... Do you know that one?

The Wyrd Sisters are the best... they mostly concern witches, but Death is there too, and it's sort of a parody on Shakespeare... but a very thoughtful parody.

I remember my teacher reading Hogfather to the class around Xmas time when I was little.
Then I saw the TV-movie last year and loved it.
Death and Teatime were my favourite characters.
I never thought I'd say "aww" to Death before.
There's such a strange, dark-yet-cheerful kind of demeanor to him.

Oyes oyes oyes hablamooooos?

Liz: *mirada asesina*
HB: Te estaba cavando otra habitación, jo!
Abe: *entrando* Jesús María y José!
