I actually am now developing an original comic, and I was wondering about that manga-magazine website, what's it like, do you get paid? Where can you get paid to get published in the states for manga? Are there any special websites where you can get paid and publish manga?
Just wondering. I need an artist for my manga and even if they can just do simple sketches for my main characters right now, that's fine. I just want sketches... that look decent. Something that I can follow and get a good grasp on.
Heck I'm not even done with the story yet. I know that you're probably too busy to help me. But I really, really, really want to get published someday....

You get paid based off your manga traffic! But not very much.. it's split between a $750 dollar pool if you get into "featured status".
There's lots of websites, actually... but iirc, you wanted to do a doujinshi(?)... Shounen Jump has licensing over the characters so I don't think there's a website that would actually pay you to do a doujinshi :/ Only original stuff.
