Description Shekinah Valley Acres is the new proud owner of Jammytime. We have big plans for this girl and training starts as soon as she's settled! Thank you so much DT! ~handstands-for-you

“Hey Hank, they are having a warmblood yearling sale at DT this week,” Leah commented to her husband as they cleaned up dinner. “Good, I’m sure they will get a lot of new business then.” “Yeah, I would like to go check it out,” she tested the ‘new horse’ receptive waters. “Why? We aren’t an eventing stable therefore have no need for a crazyblood,” Hank commented. “Well, one horse could change that, Hope has been getting more interested in eventing and I think we need to look into getting her the proper horse for the job. Plus, there’s a huge market out there of clients who want eventing training and lessons. I think it could get Shekinah Valley Acres out there more.” “Heck no Leah, sVa is doing just fine with our mustangs and ranching work, we don’t need no pampered pureblood prancing around the grounds.” “Hank, I think you need to be a little more open minded about it, have you even looked at the accounts recently? We aren’t behind, but we aren’t ahead either, we need some fresh perspective to draw in more clients than we are getting.” Hank, getting frustrated, “I know the accounts, don’t you think that’s why I’ve been working my butt of everyday with the mustangs we have out here? I’m turning them into something when they started out as nothing. Those warmbloods are already something just because of who they were born from so no way Leah, we aren’t getting another horse let alone one of those crazybloods.”

An hour later Hank and Leah were in the truck driving to DT. Though tension was between them, Leah knew her husband would calm down about it and when he did he would see that branching Shekinah Valley out was the best thing they could do for the stable. She just knew he would come around.

Parking the truck, Hank and Leah got out and walked toward the main building. “You go ahead,” Hank gruffed, “I’ll wait out here.” “Don’t you even want to see what they have Hank?” Leah pleaded. “I don’t care what they have,” he responded. Leah, a little embarrassed over her husband’s rude demeanor hoped no one was close enough to hear. She didn’t want him to mess up her chances of getting a good horse. She walked away in the direction of the main barn.

“Crazy, woman. Why do I always give in,” Hank muttered to himself as he leaned his back against the white fencing. “sVa is doing just fine, the way it is…I like the way it is.” In the middle of his grumbling he felt a poke at his back pocket. “What the..” he exclaimed in surprise. Turning around he saw for the first time the yearlings that were in the pen behind him, and the single filly that had snuck up on him and picked his pocket. The large framed silver bay stood at the fence with his pack of cigarettes in her mouth. “Hey, gal, you’re too young for that,” he said while snatching it out of her lips. Just then Leah walked back up to him. “Didn’t know you took up smokin’ Hank.” “There’s a first for everything, Leah.” “Ha, yeah guess there is, have you been making friends?” she asked as she reached over to scratch the neck of the filly by the fence, who hadn’t moved a step away from Hank. “No not really, she’s buggin’ the daylights out of me, are you ready yet?” “Almost,” Leah replied, “I still have to go talk to the manager.” “Fine, let’s hurry it up though.”

As Leah walked away, she glanced back over her shoulder and saw Hank reaching in to rub the filly between the ears. She heard him say something to her but was too far away to hear what it was. She walked back up to the manager of DT and said, “Yeah, I think I will put my bid on number one, the silver bay Irish Sport Horse.”

Barn Name: Jam, Jammy, or just Gal from Hank
Gender: Filly

Markings: star, socks on FL and BL, dapples

Personality: Jammy is a man's horse. She was her daddy's girl in the pasture and she's her daddy's girl at Shekinah Valley. When Hank is out working, she's following him alon the fence line. If she cant see him, she has both ears turned towards the sound of his voice. Why this horse? Why this guy? No one knows. But he could make her dance on a dime if he wanted to. Hank is coming around as well. He knows what good horse flesh looks like and he is secretly in love with this filly. He loves the way she moves and even the way she follows him around. He just doesn't want people to know about it but, Jammy knows. Jam has him wraped around her pinky.

Art stuff:
I spent so much time on this I lost track. All day I working on lines that didn't quite fit the look I wanted for this gal, so I ended up discarding them for her and starting completly over. But thats after I spent an hour trying to fix the existing lines. I'm very pleased with the shading and colors. I'm IN LOVE with this horse, her personality, and Hanks 'mean man' but secret love with her demenor. Super cute. If we get her, she will have quite an involved story in sVa and a big future.
In all it probably took about 5 hours.

I am not joking here, but this horse has exactly the same markings, shape and colour as Star, a horse I know.
When I saw this (Not close up) I could have sworn it was a photo of her xD

You're welcome.
Haha - no, I don't think my stable's active enough yet. I am le procrastinator extraordinaire.
I was thinking of getting an ISH pair to add to my small collection of eventers anyway. Knowing me, the stallion would probably be dappled grey, and the mare a dark orangey bay; my two favourite colours. Thus, stally can be seeing Jammy.

lol So glad you like it. I had to make as best an impression as I could because I reeaaally want that mare. But really her personality and the right lines all worked itself out...she's just that kind of gal. She makes stuff happen even if she doesn't do it on purpous.
