Leah felt odd being at a show with Jammy but no Hank. Since their fight at the FEI Championships they had been at odds with one another about every little thing. Disagreeing about finances and sex is one thing, but all the way down to which pasture Ashfall should be turned out in is just getting meticulous and ridiculous.

She hated how all of a sudden Hank seemed to be micro managing Shekinah Valley. He always had something to say about how the girls were exercising their horses now, disagreeing on what shows the stable should enter, and just being a grump in general.

Leah thought when she returned to Shekinah Valley she would confront him and see what's really bothering him. There has to be something underneath the surface, something she doesn't know about and something he is not telling. She resolved in herself she would not call or speak with him until she was back home. Sometimes a little break is good.

"This way he will be fresh and won't have any complaints about me when I get there and we can start from scratch."

Leah had almost forgotten where she was. Her attention snapped back to Jammy who was quietly standing beside her despite all the rambunctious crowd at Firelights Summer Dressage Show . She was glad between the two of them, one of them was calm cool and collected. That's Jammy, as always. Leah just couldn't shake her personal anxieties. With Ambassador of Wilkenburg Stables in this show as well as Sweet Life of Fallen Angel stables, Leah knew she was competing against top riders and that to do her best she needed to be able to concentrate.

Belvedere was finishing up his routine so Leah mounted Jammy to ready herself. She couldn't help feeling the blatant absence of Hank in the crowed and the sense of loneliness that came with it.

She smiled and nodded to Breena Adams as she passed then urged Jam into the ring. Her heart raced as she focused on Jammy and their routine, all the while, Jammy had her rider well under control.

This stupid background took me all day! Grrr. I had 3 different backgrounds on it (much larger than this) and finally just hacked it up and blurred it all so I could be done with it. Then, of all things, I actually like it a lot. Just took a lot of time to get to it and if I had just stayed simple with it the whole time, would have finished sooner.

This was going to be my entry for Danes Championship 2 but I failed in having inspiration to do it by the deadline. But I have to do another Jammy picture to continue this story with Hank and Leah.
