I enjoy some qualities of Drizzt, but tend to see him as too whiny and emotive for my taste. However, if I could get him to do some noise other than whining, I think I could be convinced to forget all about the qualities I don't like in him. This painting makes me do that without any sound necessary.
I love the catti-brie/drizzt combo and you did something so amazing with them right here. It's gorgeous. Anatomy is so well done, colors just a few rich hues off of totally realistic, that I feel as if I could reach forward and caress their cheeks and tell them just how adorable they are together.
This is the most realistic drow face I've seen yet, so elvin and beautiful. His ears are great! The foreshortening is awesome! Drizzt's face is so well tilted, so believable. I'm green with envy (i tend to make drow/elf faces too angular) and yet oh so proud of another artists ability to capture him so exquisitely.
Catti actually looks a little bit like my red-headed cousin. She is definitely realistic enough. I like how you didn't feel the need to gussy up her eyes with any kind of make-up-like colors and shading. Women in that world would have to have a natural beauty and that's exactly what she has.
Their noses don't shy away from the little bump and flat on the bridge, their lips look absolutely kissable, which is good, because it looks like that's exactly what's coming next.
My only suggestion on this amazing piece of work would be to warm up their skin tones a bit. Though that pale of skin works on a red-head, and you can get away with the grey on Drizzt, it would be great to see you practice making the colors richer, deeper. I mean, you've got this much skill, you can bring them to life with these pale colors. Just imagine how amazing they will be with richer colors nearly putting blood flow under their skin!

The anatomy study is accurate and the brushstroke used to create the hair makes the idea of soft and silk, one gets the impression that we can sink your hand in it. I've really appreciate the tonality used for the background, it remember a cold winder dawn in Icewind Dale with the sun who fight for shine across the clouds. The lineaments of Drizzt's face are perfectly as I've always imagine, so "elven", and the skin tones result realistic even with all this gray scale. And Cattie-brie looks just like what she really is: a nordic young girl with the typical complexion of peaople with read hairs, not the adult (and american e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
What else I can say. It's one of the best fanart about Drizzt and Cattie-Brie I've ever seen on DA, it exprime the true vision about these two characters without the stereotype of all the merchandising create around Salvatore's works.

Hmmm... I don't think the books ever mention the color of Drizzt's eyebrows, but they are almost always depicted as white, so to see them colored differently looks weird to me. Don't mind me though; this is still awesome, regardless!
