Tomorrow autumn will start. I am really someone who enjoys the summer, so I am not really looking forward to it, though it can give a lot of great picture opportunities too. This is one of the last pictures I took this summer (except from some snapshots from family and friends).

This picture was taken on a photo-trip with my father. First we wanted to photograph a vliedberg, that’s an artificial hill on a farmer’s land build in the 16th-17th century to fled to when the dykes broke. That happened more often those days. But when we arrived we thought the light wasn’t very nice and we decided to bike to the beach. The water was very low, and I wanted to create gradient between the sand walls and the water. Because the water was very transparent and calm because of low tide the result looked very great with a slow shutter speed.

When I loaded this picture in PS, I increased the contrast slightly and I was done. The light was very warm and orange.

Though I really like the pictures I took at the beach I think I need to make more real landscape shots again. I like variation.
