A few days ago I went to national park 'Hoge Veluwe' with my parents. It's one of my favorite places in the Netherlands. It is quite big and there is a lot of variation in the landscape. One moment you are cycling through wonderful deciduous forest with tree lines, the other moment you cycle through a nice purple heath and even later you are in sands.
A funny fact about the park is that there are loads of bike parking lots where you can grab a white bike for free and ride in the park. I brought my own excellent bike so I didn't need one but if you are on vacation it's real real handy.

I took this picture while I was waiting with my sister for my parents. My sister and I had both 21 gear epic bikes so we were a bit faster. I really like the view I saw as I really like the palette of pastel colours. The light green makes a wonderful view for the eye together with the white barks.
I really like this picture as to me everything feels balanced. The soft tone together with the simple composition makes it such a relaxation for the eye that this picture made it as my wallpaper (I never use my own pictures as wallpapers).

I tried some different compositions on this one. I tried focussing more on the trees and their barks made the image feel flat because it was in the middle of the day and because of the clouds which made the light pretty weak. A wider angle took the trees too far away which disturbed the balance between grass, trees and sky.
