Description
My secondary "Lunacorn" char, which you can also see here , here and here . I'll post a proper char ref sheet of her later, but for now, this can serve as a temp one, and please note that she only has her wings when she's in anthro form, and she only takes on anthro form during the full moon. She's named "Luna" not just because she's part luna moth, but also because she has a crescent, moon-shaped horn, and is connected with the moon's phases as well as nighttime in general. The rest of the time, she just appears as a wingless, non-anthro, deer-based unicorn , with some equine aspects (mane, hoof feathering, long tail tuft, etc.). Her wings are a cross between two species of luna moths: actias luna (American moon moth) and actias selene (Indian moon moth). The upper pair of wings borrow their shape from actias selene, and the lower pair from actias luna. The shape of the eyespots are based on those of actias luna, but they are pink like those of actias selene and resemble actual eyes (in this case, albino eyes, because I have a passion for albino and leucistic animals). The undersides of the wings have the same markings, but are overall paler in hue. This particular image happens to be a heavily-stylized concept design for a stained glass "suncatcher" that I hope to have made.
Edit: I decided after all to go ahead and make her eyes and nosepatch brown, to add her pink eye/muzzle stripes and tail coloration, and also her golden eartips and forehead marking...Now she looks a bit more likes she's supposed to.
PLEASE NOTE: My Lunacorn char has no connection with either the "Lunacorn" toy from the "Penguins of Madagascar" or "Princess Luna" from "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic", and my Lunacorn predates both of them by several years anyway.

Simply amazing! For someone who doesn't work in stained glass you sure did pretty much nail the design! I can only see one piece (the tail) that would be too weak and would likely break the way it's drawn now. It would also have to be cut with a saw the way it's drawn now. There are some small pieces, but it's definitely doable. I could even see fusing special pieces for the 'eyes' in the wings. This is just so stunning!

Wow, you picked a difficult design for a first attempt in stained glass! It's not that glass is too impossible to work with, but something so intricate as this wouldn't be easy, heh. Not that I want to put you off!
The design is absolutely stunning. If you could get glass close to those colours it would look gorgeous. I can imagine it creating rainbows My favourite part is her sweet litle deer face - so beautiful.
What a beautiful character I'd be honoured if you might let me draw her one day!

Whoa, sheΒ΄s beautiful. o_o The design looks wonderful, but maybe a bit complicated for a actual stained-glass-piece, or atleast for me. If I do take a try on her sometime, I probably have to simplify her a bit. ItΒ΄s a pity, but I hope you donΒ΄t mind. IΒ΄m not THAT good with glass.

Lovely! Such a unique design, and with a very special story behind it. I believe this would make a beautiful stained glass piece! Making stained glass doesn't seem too hard (other than the possible welding part!), just time consuming. And perhaps a bit challenging to find a local supplier as well as a way to cut the glass. Let's face it, not everyone has a glass cutter in their kitchen drawers. xD I'm sure you've seen this , but it's the best straight-forward one I can find.
Good luck though... you've overcome great challenges before and I know you can figure this one out, too. :3

That is something that should be done in the very difficult but beautifull pliquΓ©-Γ -jour enamel technic. Downside is that you can only make small panes with this technic.

I had a similar creature in my minds-eye, but you beat me to it....*sighs* oh well. I will have to make a change to it. This is very Beautiful by the way, and would make a spectacular real Stained Glass suncatcher!
