Viva le Borzoi!
About this pic...well, I only just learnt how to colour under your sketched lines (yes, I am that backward X_o) from this helpful tutorial: [link] , and so I did a simple sketch of a borzoi, scanned and coloured
Oh gosh, I finally know how to draw borzoi without making them look like collies!
Hmm...I think I want to make borzoi characters now
Starting with her. Does anyone know any nice Russian names? I was thinking of Anastasia, but that's kinda generic..EDIT: Never mind, I found one that suits her... Her name is Fayina, meaning Free One

Actually, I did try to draw one, and then it turned into this scary scribble-creature named Whisp, and so I sort of sidetracked... but I shall try again today. And hopefully draw some without being distracted and turning it into something very strange...

Borzoi, or Barsoi, are Russian dogs, their other name is the Russian Wolfhound, because they were used to hunt wolves (and probably still are in certain places). Like all sighthounds, they hunt by sight, not scent, and they can run really fast. In fact I think 'borzoi' in Russian means 'fast' or something to that effect. Correct me if I'm wrong. Some people call them the Russian Collie, because they look somewhat like Collies. But since they were used to hunt, not herd, I find that kinda wrong.
