I swear this place needs a 'Furry' category...Anyways, here's a buncha silly Painter doodles of dogs of various breeds, just because I felt like it and I was tired of studying. -_-*
And there's four of my friends' furry canid selves in there, too

OH GOSH UGLY. xDDDD this was before I was using photos for reference and study, so everything looks completely off. ah well, they're good to keep around so I can look back at them on bad days and feel a billion times better.

No problem Swift, I love going through scraps occasionally to see just how much the artists' style has changed. I'd have to say though, your scraps have a LOT of personality flowing through them.

'Stylised' is one thing, 'off' is another. It's one thing to study the real animal and then make your own stylistic decisions on how they should look. It's completely different to just vaguely draw something that you think looks like the animal in a style that's heavily influenced from other cartoons and animation, without actually knowing what you're doing. Compare this to my more recent MINITOYS deviation, and I think that it's clear that in this I was just guessing and waffling around, whereas in the other I had more real knowledge and grasp of dog anatomy, how the dogs are constructed, and the more unique qualities of each breed. I am far happier with where I am now than where I was then.

*gasps* People who don't know what a Westie is?! Those have to be some of the most gosh-darned adorable dogs ever bred! Still, maybe it's because that I'm so often bemoaning the fact that sighthounds aren't as popular as I think they should be that I don't notice the popularity of other breeds -_-*
