Yes, a few years ago my chow mix disappeared. I searched and searched; animal shelters, put ads in the paper, hung signs. No one ever contacted me... I miss my Brownie.

I know. Same here, although I don't even have a dog (I've always wanted one and would loove one, but can't :/)... I know how it feels though, we have a lot of outdoor cats and they disappear a lot, and some never show up again... I feel bad, with all the things that have happened to her. I wish I could do something; it's so tough when the issue is with a lost pet... it could be anywhere... such an overwhelming feeling, ugh.
