EDIT: made MONSTERDOGS look better. bah.so =StormyHotWolf88 I got to see Matchbox Twenty in concert tonight, and naturally they were all shades of awesome. <3 I'm thankful that I got to go at all, it was such a wonderful show.
hearing Unwell live made me cry, though. they played the bridge and I just lost it. it's such a sad song as it is to listen to, and nowadays I tend to connect it with Solly so it hits me even harder. I just felt obliged tonight to draw something for her, and I did. the song helped a great deal.
all day staring at the ceiling
making friends with shadows on my wall

yea it does, suck. But Logan hasn't exactly just stopped talking to me, I just haven't talked to him in a while, and then I tried to talk to him and he just walked away... Yea there might be something but I just wish he'd freakin talk to me...

I've actually been sitting here for the past ten minutes, flipping through my other windows and thinking about what to say. I think I've finally got the nerve now to sit back and analyze it- I was at first stuck with my words.
It's very very beautiful... dark, imposing, emotional, to say the least. Her facial expression is what makes it all the more beautiful: she's frightened, she's mystified. The colors are also nice- nice and muted, perfect for the mood.
Lovely work here. I'm going to fave it, ah? Nice job!
Oh! Might I ask if this character is based off a dog in real life? I don't know much of your characters, so now would be a nice time to start learning!

oh wow, thank you so much Ribbon! it means a great deal to me that you like it so much. it really was a rather reaction-to-the-song kind of picture, so I did it quite fast. I am a fan of spontaneity.
interestingly enough, Soliloquy is loosely based on my dog (also an Italian Greyhound) and I, though I did that quite subconsciously. I say loosely though because Soliloquy has seen her family slaughtered - which is why she's little off her head - so she's more a hypothetical character in that sense. but she's definitely someone I'm quite close to.

Soliloquy saw her family slaughtered, then? Poor thing... I'd be traumatized if that happened to me, too. Do you have a profile page of some sort, where I can read a bit more about the poor lass? It'd be nice to read a backstory of her, or your other characters!

as for my other characters, I am flattered that you are interested in them! I have a list of profiles and refs here [link] that I'm still adding to as I get them finished - I hope to have them all up and ready eventually! I've wanted to have my refs in one place for ages so that I can stop digging around for links for people, I imagine you know what a task that can be! your refs are always so very in-depth, it astounds me, frankly.

Wow, a really beautiful drawing for Soliloquy, and actually the song is a perfect fit for her too. The art itself stands alone quite well, and the execution of it is so emotive and moving. ^^ I really love the kind of unexplained pieces to it, or I guess I should say the meaning of their presence is unobvious-- this picture can be taken many different ways, especially the symbolism of the monsterdogs.

she appreciates the concern. so far the few times that she has ventured out into RP-land, she's encountered one dog that tried to eat her and a pair of dogs that scared her away by starting a fight. she did meet one dog that was nice to her, though, but then the board we were on closed. x_x;
oh YEAH they were completely awesome!! hopefully they will be touring again - I hear they're working on a new album. SO EXCITING.

married life must be exciting and scary! I'm sort of tired of school at the moment, and I'm really itching to get out and start earning my keep - I think the fact that my student visa does not allow me to work off campus is just making me really restless in that area! but I'm pretty sure once I'm out I'll be reminiscing and wishing I could come back to school. hah. xD

Oh, I don't WANT to go back. Really. If I could just...I dunno...apprentice as a vet, I'd do that instead! I'll be working my way through college due to the fact that I couldn't get any scholarships, but originally I'd intended to stay in the military for a career, not just a four year or eight year term like a lot of people do.
And it is. >.< Oh, is it! Especially seeing as we've only lived together about 4 months the entire time we've been married-which is about a year and two months now. It's interesting, the things you don't know about people until you live with them. Like, how my husband has to get started doing something in the morning, or he'll sit around on his ass all day. And how he insists on using a seperate pan for the eggs and bacon in the morning, which drives me up a wall since I usually end up the one doing dishes. 
It's worth it though. It really is. For those moments where you lay together, talking about nothing or everything, and just feel comfortable with someone who loves you for you.
