Description (ran out of lettering space for 'and', so used 'to' - Japanese 'and', for the uninformed - instead. haha.)

Whee, the infamous Hitachin brothers xD They're too hilarious. I think it was the memory of the Basenji episode of Breed All About It that influenced me on this one.. the woman featured on the show had a pair of Basenjis, and described them as being quite the cheeky mischief-makers. Basenjis are independent, intelligent, active dogs with minds of their own, and I figured they'd be perfect for the twins.

..by they way, if any of you Ouran fans actually caught that one episode of Pokemon with the talking Pokemon, was I alone in exclaiming 'HITACHINS!" the minute the talking-in-unison Kecleon pair came along? o.O (answer: probably. xD)

Observation + LOTS OF PRACTICE + perseverance + shamelessness (in the sense that you try different things and techniques, even if it looks terrible at first). Yeah, that's pretty much my formula ^^ (I've been drawing dogs for about ten years now, so yeah. heh.)

Aw, I'm so glad you think so! ^^ I sort of wanted to make them terriers at first but Basenjis just suit them so much better. There's a... refined, polished feel to Basenjis that fits the twins, whereas terriers are more down to earth (literally). heh. (Shibas were the other breed I was considering. but eh.)
