okay I drew Swift and QG a bit younger than we were when we first met but it's cute, ok. and this was pretty much the gist of it.thank you for all the years of friendship, friend!

BWA everything about this is so cute! XD And this is pretty much how it happened huh? You are the first person I ever met who liked sighthounds. And it's been what 6 years? 0__0 Time goes by so fast. I like how you did my shirt and the gelert plushies bring back memories. :3 And I love you too.
Sorry I took so long to thank you. I wanted to make a new account before I did and things are a bit crazy. I have to go on birth control pills because my ovaries are going nuts so I'm a bit on the crazy/stressed side.
Plus the animation department here is trying to do our own animation fest. If you and anyone you know wants to submit, it is free and here is what my teacher sent me:

My thesis hasn't seen any festival action (mainly because I've been too embarrassed to try for any x_x; ); maybe now is the time. so should I just copypaste that whole bit to send to people? now that my class all has our thesis films together maybe some others will be interested

Yea you can copy/paste it to anyone you want and I'd appreciate it if you could! Since this is our first festival we really need people to participate but don't feel obligated or anything. XD I'm always shy about people seeing my animations so I understand if you don't want to. My computer is being retarded and my lightbox bulb burned out so all my animation stuff is on hold right now. :[ If I get my film done I will enter it though cuz it would be hypocritical of me to ask other people but not do it myself. :3

Well I was only really really active when I was 15-16 and that was eight years ago now (yikes!!). I don't know if you were on back then, but I miss the site before it turned into a commercialised n00b-attracting cesspool. :[ I'd prefer my neo username to remain anonymous except for the people that actually did know me then, don't want any more interest being taken in my pets or account.
I still have my gold Gelert, she was my first pet and is a reminder of everything Neopets used to mean to me. (imnsho the Gelert designs have been lame and ugly since they changed them from noble hounds into vapid puppies and I've not liked their designs since.) I may not be active on the site anymore but I still come on to feed my pets and play with them once in a while because we've all been through a lot together. <3

wowo that was mad long ago. i dont think i was on then. i am actually not sure. when did the site get revamped b/c i was on then..but i quit for a year or two and come back and pets have clothes on. its like WHATT. i didnt like it at first but i feel special when i buy them alot of stuff. I have a spotted gelert now and I am working on getting a mutant and maraquan one. They are beauties. I did reconize swift but i was lazy *_* haha. there are some noobs but I havent run into too many yet and got a few close friends there. I know sometime I will grow out of it or maybe not. I'll be the 50 year old still playing acting like i am still a kid haha

I just don't like how commercialised and complicated everything became after a while. I was there when they added The Lost Desert and Meridell and I accepted both those changes as a matter of course but after that when they started adding more and more new worlds and more and more new pets and features (I still think Petpetpets are completely ludicrous) it just became too much and I couldn't take it seriously anymore. I think I was 18 or 19 when I finally started to drift. I was an avid writer for the Neopian Times back in the day and I feel like the real fun of Neopia was when more was left to your imagination. It created a much richer world because everyone could interpret it in a different way imo. When everything was explained away in such detail, I lost interest. I NEVER thought I would lose interest, though, so you never do know. and personally I think it's perfectly fine and indeed admirable to be able to stay 'a kid' in some ways as long as you grow and mature in others. To me a good balance of both worlds is the definition of true maturity.
(I will say though that being able to put clothes on your pets should have been implemented earlier, otherwise why sell clothes and makeup at all? xD)

yes i know what you mean. i didn't see them add the worlds but I can imagine what it was like. some of the worlds there don't even do much. i wish they wouldn't try to add more and more. but i think they should make more paintbrushes. things started to change more when adam and the girl (forgot her name) left. hopefully it wont change much more. even if it did i love my pets too much to stop playing

hahahah I remember their parental controls and their weird freezing accounts randomly for no apparent reason, I remember living in a state of anxiety that my account was going to get frozen or hacked. I also really, really wanted my pets to be real. it's weird how things look from seven or eight years on. o_o
