BAHAHAHA. x) this amuses me. --> [link] click for whippety/Whip It goodness.So. anyway. Swift is happy whenever she sees a whippet around on dA, so she invited everyone over for a WHIPPET PARTY.
w00t! I needed to draw some whippets and sighthounds, so this was a fun picture to do 
So we've got Blaire the purple whippet (=losdoberman ) and Rose the yellow whippet (~Nulde ) - making for a nice colourscheme - ready to catch the frisbee. Mia (=Fairy-Corgi ), with the pseudo-velveteen rabbit, is being baited with cookies by Flying Whippet (~Queen-of-Greyhounds ), who is unaware that Aztecca (~Cerzz ) is ready to intercept the cookiebag. An amused Wings (my RP character on [link] ) looks on. In the foreground Encore (~scbordercollie01 ) and my resurrected old characters Fleetpaw and Wind jive to the CD that Swift (~swiftwhippet , natch'.) is spinning. The current track? Devo's Whip It, of course

I love it. The poses, the expressions, the shading and lighting, tis all awesome. I especially like how you used the shadows to accentuate the muscles in each of the whippets, especially the purple one. And I love the crazed look in the winged one's eyes, priceless! lol

Oh yes! I must thank you, I've been nagging my mother into letting me get a dog (naughty me!) so, she finally gave in! Yay! My mother and I went online and started researching dogs, and, because I love your art so much, I ask, what about a whippet? She read about them and instantly fell in love with the description of them! Looks like I'm gonna be a whippet owner soon! (Maybe) Thanks Swift!
Then, I see this picture after she gets off! Wow! Swift, you are DA MASTER OF WHIPPETS! I love the coloration and all the different poses in one picture!

I'm only a whippet fancier at present, not an owner unfortunately. I have an Italian Greyhound, and I have researched the breed because I want to have one someday, but have never had any actual experience with owning a whippet, so I don't think I'm qualified to advise you. There is however a great whippet owners' and fanciers' forum I frequent and recommend checking out if you're seriously looking into getting a whip: [link] There's lots of whippet talk , and some of the things that the owners have shared have given me more insights into the breed than any dog book ever has. They're also really friendly and I'm sure be glad to give you advice for first-time owners. Also some of my dA friends actually do own or have owned whippets, so if you like I can link you to them too

Before I had read the description, I was wondering if that was the song on the radio down in the corner and now I know it is. ^^ I like all of the activity going on and even though the breed is the same per each character, they all get a little bit of the action and feature in this. ^^ Very cute
