Description
After returning from his failed mission in the Dragonlands, in which his commanding officer and comrades were slaughtered by a dragon and he escaped greatly harmed, Balaur politely requests Princess Celestia and Luna for an army and to lead an invasion to the Dragonlands; in order to subdue it and make sure they never harm another pony again. They refuse, not wanting him to sacrifice lives for vengeance, but express their sympathies to him and try to convince to not be consumed by vengeance and do his best to move on.

He refuses and chooses to take care of them himself. They warn him that there will be consquences if he goes down the wrong path, which he ignores before walking out the castle and starts a search for the Sword of Dragon Souls, which he believes will be his key to victory and to his revenge plan.
