In what ways would you improve Lord Tirek? What do you think can/could be done to make him a better villain?

For me? Keeping him threatening and evil, not having him have the comedic moments or many redeeming qualities in season 9 that made him a joke villain. If not, at least have him do something that really crosses the MEH in order to make up for all the villain decay he suffered. I think being with Chrysalis on allowing the Windogoes to turn Equestria into a frozen wasteland would've suffice.

Also having him escape Tartarus entirely on his own and facing the Mane 6 at least one more time before the final, so he could be a more recurring villain like Chrysalis, and so he could be more competent as a villain (Kind of dumb that the only reason he was able to rise to power twice is because of Discord being an idiot).

And to be more interesting, have his backstory from the comics further explored on the show, like a few flashbacks of his childhood in his kingdom, training with Sendak the Elder, and of him overthrowing his father and taking the kingdom for himself (like he said he would do in the comics before going to Equestria) would've been great.

And finally, being more manipulative and charismatic. In his first appearance he was shown to be an expert manipulator, they should've giving him more manipulating moments, like maybe having him in "School Raze" succeed in convincing/fooling the Mane 6 into releasing him from his prison so that he'd give them answers.

There's more suggestions I have, but I'll discuss them with you in the comment section after hearing what you think.
