The planets largest and most beautiful rainforest has been on fire for months and I continue hoping and praying that it will end soon. The Amazon rainforest has long been recognized as a repository of ecological services not only for local tribes and communities, but also for the rest of the world. It is also the only rainforest that we have left in terms of size and diversity. As the Amazon rainforest biome slowly shrinks in size, so does the richness of wildlife found in its forests, along with the potential use of plants and animals that remain undiscovered. I cannot even imagine the consequences if the fires continue because just the thought of this beautiful place burning down devastates me.

I will be making one of the Australia wildfires next.
