Okay, let’s see how long I leave this here again (I say for the millionth time). But!! This past week I’ve been making a Pokémon or two for most days and gosh, it has helped me get better at this style so fast? It’s so much fun, I have made quite a few Pokémon and seeing the improvements in line art, shading and posing and the designs make me feel really happy.

I have learnt so much in regards to just general art stuff thanks to this little project, especially in regards to learning how to draw animals and humans and plants. Now it probably won’t look too much like it in the final product haha, but, in the initial stages I look at a bunch of references and learn about them and try to draw them out and then evolve it into a Pokémon design. It kinda taught me it’s ok to learn how to do this sorta stuff in a fun way for yourself that will make you feel happy.

So yeah! I can’t wait to see how this goes on in the future, how much I’ll improve! It’s been a great motivator, and just something I have always wanted to do. It’s very fulfilling. ;_;

I wanna show my first attempt at this stuff again from back in last week compared to my latest ones, the difference is huge. xD

The grass starter is a Hippo, the fire starter is a weasel, and the water starter is a jellyfish!
