"Hello, James." Calynn said with a confident smirk on her face. "Like the new coat?" James looked her over and was indeed impressed. Her blue paintwork seemed brighter and the yellow ends popped in his eyes."It's...gorgeous. I love it!" James answered, struggling to find the words.
"Hmph. I thought you would." His girlfriend sniffed, confidently. "I'm the most splendid engine on this whole island now! All you'll see of me is a flash of blue!" She raised her pantograph and made contact with the wire, then whirred away up the line, leaving James speechless. He told Keon and Graham about Calynn later that day.
"She thinks she's better than everyone else now that she's gotten a new coat of paint!" James fumed to the two.
