Duchess of Sutherland's owners were bringing her to the island to visit and take excursion trains, including a special Valentine's Day couples' train, and her first was taking a train of enthusiasts from Vicarstown to Crovan's Gate, where they would get off to tour the Steamworks and see the Skarloey Railway with a stop at Penny Street Junction to see the Penitentiary engines.
