When Thomas arrived he could tell they were making jest of his miraculous feat.
"It's as if it was magic! Like some invisible hand reached out and stopped him from crashing into me. That would've been terrible indeed! Certainly a terrible thing to happen to such a fine vintage lorry such as myself!"
"Yes, Thomas, just like magic! See, I told you Merlin really is a wizard!" Percy said when he noticed Thomas arrive.
"How'd you know?!" Spluttered Thomas, shocked to find out that Percy knew about Merlin casting the spell on him.
"I met him down at the junction again today! He said you wanted to know if he was really magic or not, so you asked him to cast a protection spell on you!" Percy recounted.
"I wish he cast a spell to make you forget that." Thomas muttered under his breath. "Besides, it was just another coincidence. Things almost always have a way of working out here on Sodor." Or do they? Well, I guess we'll never really know, won't we?
