Earlier that morning, James would be visited by Sir Topham Hatt at the sheds to be informed of his plan. "It'll be great to see everyone again!" He remarked, pleased with the Fat Controller's arrangements.

"Heading off again, James?" Calynn asked him.

"I'm afraid so. Duty calls." James replied with a determined expression. Calynn smiled. She was proud of the engine James had become since she had met him. It made her glad to see him take on responsibilities like those Sir Topham Hatt had just tasked him with without so much as a single complaint. In fact, he was smiling when he was told that his friends on the mainline needed help. Then a thought flew into James' funnel. "I hope I'll be back in time." James thought aloud.

"Back in time for what?" She asked him.

"You'll see." Answered James, nebulously, but Calynn knew exactly what he was talking about, as did Graham, who was listening to their conversation. James gave a whistle to his loving girlfriend and the rest of the electric engines, who all honked their horns in reply as he puffed out of sight...:
