They came upon the big station, where Mr. Percival and the railway board were having their meeting, when everything went from bad to worse. She was coming in at such a high rate of speed that her wheels left the track right as she approached the platform, then the momentum of the train launched her up the ramp and towards the station house. Inside, Mr. Percival was finishing his presentation to sell the railway board on the prospect of buying the new diesels when Mr. Molesworth, the shop manager, spun around in his chair.

"Do you all hear something outside?" He wondered.

A fraction of a second later, the wall exploded inward and Proteus crashed through, sending the railway board into a panic. Bricks, glass, plaster, carpet, and insulation flew everywhere.
