A very special day was coming on the Island of Sodor, one that held a lot of significance for two very special engines. Coming up was Gordon and Maud's second wedding anniversary. The couple were excited, as were their friends. James, who had been one of his groomsmen at the wedding, asked Gordon about it when he saw him stopped at Killdane Junction. "Your anniversary's coming up, Gordon! Are you going to treat the Mrs. to anything special?" The red engine inquired. Gordon gasped.

"Fizzling fireboxes!" He exclaimed "I very nearly forgot!" He pondered for a moment about this and realized that he had nothing planned for their anniversary. He hadn't thought of any gifts to give his wife or any places he would take her to. "I can't bear to think what she'd do to me if I did..."
